Massive Russian Drone and Missile attack on Kremenchuck earlier today
I bet Putin gave Trump a rollicking yesterday for being too cosy with Zelensky and EuropeTrump’s also saying Putin might not want a peace deal after musing that he would do it specially for him.
The whole thing is going to collapse and Trump will blame everyone except Putin.
Watch this space.
There’s absolutely no positives in having Trump in the White House. The fact he can also be manipulated by allies as well as enemies is meaningless because his decisions can change daily based on who spoke to him last. He is a cancer on the planet and his presidency marks the beginning of the end of US economic hegemony. What’s inevitable is that every other country / trading bloc will be positioning themselves to take advantage of the self inflicted permanent damage being done to the US economy. The negative about having a complete moron in the Whitehouse is that he can be easily manipulated and the positive is that he can be easily manipulated - Putin pulls Trump one way, Europe pitches up and pulls him back.
This isn’t diplomacy, it’s just two sides turning up and flattering the shit out of Trump to get an edge. There is no appeal to geopolitical reality or long term interests. It’s an appeal to ego. Europe’s job is to block Putin from getting everything he wants out of Trump, keep the weapons flowing and keeping the pressure on for a ceasefire and/or a negotiated settlement on terms Ukraine can accept. Europe also needs the time to ramp up its own military capacity for itself and Ukraine allowing us to decouple from the US.
The trouble both Putin and Europe has with Trump is that he is incapable of formulating and implementing a long term strategy - what he wants one day becomes the opposite the next, meaning neither side can rely on him which is even more reason for Europe to decouple from the US.
There was never anything to "collapse", as Ukraine were never asked. The whole thing is going to collapse and Trump will blame everyone except Putin.
It perfectly stands to reason that the **** is running out of road. The state of Russia is why Putin wants to keep this war going. When the guns fall silent there will be the realisation of what exactly was this all for, the million plus who have been killed or wounded them and their families will be left to fend for themselves. Living standards within the country are worse than in Soviet times, the country is flat broke with the money being syphoned off to Putin and his mates. If and when peace happens Putin will then be under threat internally, which is why he needs this distraction over the last three and half years going.
Pokrovsk Offensive cut off and wiped out.
Oh dear. How sad.
Europe needs to swallow a bitter pill. And it will make people feel poorer. But we have no choice. We are at war with Russia. And we have to defend ourselves. Not for a second I believe in so called security guarantees.
The US is out, and Europe not strong or politically willing enough to really step in.
Ukraine won't get any security guarantees. It can only be spoken out by a strong power, like USA did it for Israel, Saudi Arabia, Japan and others.
Europe should be prepared to deliver 10-20k drones - a day! to give russia the damage they need to feel the pain.
UKR troops will be more and more difficult to recruit and Europe will have to be prepared to send huge amounts of troops (with all consequences!) from a certain moment in the future, or let Ukraine be russian.

The **** must be losing. What winning general attacks civilians? That wouldn’t make sense. You know me well, absolutely disgusting attack by Russia enabled by Trump.

It would very nice if we (and the rest of Europe) could wean ourselves off being so dependent on the US militarily and economically over the next couple of years so he could be treated with the contempt he deserves. Sadly it’s going to take a lot longer than that.Agreed. But we have to deal with the reality that Trump is what he is and he isn’t going anywhere for the next three and half years so we have to play the cards we have and be smart about it.
Having said all that I still can’t stomach the idea of handing the **** a State visit, so, yeah, what you said.
