PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I don't think anyone has said PSR rules are illegal in principle, but they may be in the way they are applied. By unfairly incorporating allowances for favourable interest shareholder loans to the benefit of certain clubs, for example.
Sure so the specific rules around shareholder loans have been ruled illegal but that isn't going to help city in this case or force the PL to abandon all PSR rules, they don't even form part of the charges against us.

I've been working on a certain agents house, he has no city players of high profile on board, but certainly 1 from utd, 1 from Newcastle and few from other premier league clubs, that I know of, he's no super agent but obviously knows his stuff, anyway, I asked him why players were still open to joining City if getting done, relegated, banned etc etc, he said, "because they will get away with it", without telling him I'm a City fan, hope he's correct, if not, I'm stretching this out and charging him more :-))
He said "we will get away with it" and you hope he's correct!
If he had said it to me it wouldn't only be his walls that were plastered!

What do you do?

Are the panel members writing this thing themselves, though? I find it hard to believe they are sat in front of a computer typing 500 pages. Surely they have staff members working on it and, I don't suppose, none of the staff have the entire month of August off?

I think they are back at work now & ready to dictate….

Breaching the FFP rules is very certainly one of the allegations, actually 25 of the allegations in the fourth tranche of their statement referring the allegations to a disciplinary commission, iirc.

But my only point is that something may be going on that we don't know about. Questioning the legality of the FFP rules in the same way as for APT could be such an issue. Or not. It would certainly be a reasonable defence to the alleged breaches of FFP imho and would, if successful, lead to all hell breaking loose on the sanctions previously handed out and cause some serious introspection at the PL.

I recognise that my null and void FFP theory isn't popular on here and it may be complete bollocks, but I have never had any problem being unpopular or talking bollocks :)

There is deffo stuff going on we or anyone else don't know about, it's obvious now or there would of been a decision in our case now.
So for me this only points in one direction, it's good news for us and there's a deal been worked out where basically the Premier league don't look like "cunts".

Me personally don't see any other decision now or this would of been done and dusted

I suspect pausing is a good way for opinions being aired in a way that sides are happy & they can all keep up the pretence that panel hasn’t been prejudiced.

A simple question of why is it taking so long & conversation of double speak will leave them
In no doubt. Maybe that is why City are confident but say they don’t know as the double speak is continuing to understand if it’s a win by points or a knock out.

That's the great thing about nobody knowing anything. Well-informed people who don't really know anything are probably right, but nut job conspiracy theorists like me can be equally right :)

The thing with us conspiracy nut jobs is we are right but the conspiracy is always downplayed so we don’t get vindicated. Take the ATP, our suspicions that the premier league conspired to block our sponsorship appear to be wrong once we heard how hard Mai Fyfield worked. We can just put it down to honest incompetence & clubs using their democratic right.

We’re all guessing, and even people who are well-informed could be making assumptions that are wholly wrong or irrelevant considerations. That’s perfectly possible when there’s such a deficit of any meaningful news.

All anyone can do is call it as they see it. And it means fuck all in the grand scheme of things if people call that right, or get it wrong. If I’ve called this wrong then I’ll have think why, but it won’t especially bother me. I’ll be far more bothered about the result, than my powers of prediction, when it’s pretty much been based on guesswork.

The absence of any leaks is pretty mental actually. Not a single commercial lawyer I know has heard a thing. Or at least that’s what they’ve told me!
