Capitalists, eh?The eternal cry of the capitalist. Abolish child labour laws? Can't afford that. A ten hour day? Can't afford that. Factory Act? Can't afford that. (19th century law changes promoted by Tories motivated by Christian ethics.)
A full weekend off? Can't afford that. Minimum wage? Can't afford that.
All they’re interested in is artificially inflating the value of their assets without doing anything productive or helping the working classes. And then when they sell up so that they can spend their money on frivolous, materialistic items, they do so without paying their fair share of taxes. Sickening.
A heard about a particularly harrowing case the other day. Somebody bumped up the value of a house to £650k - far above what it was actually worth - so that they could sell a share of it to a vulnerable person and go off buying property in some bourgeois enclave on the capitalist southern coast. And they didn’t even pay all the taxes they owed.
