In the 1930's Europe was worried about Germany so France built a defensive wall called the Maginoux Line.
Not a problem when your border is with Gernany, the problem they had was when they came to Belgium.
Did they continue the fortifications so excluding Belgium or did they stop building.
The Germans walked into Belgium and then France, the millions spent on the Maginoux line were wasted.
If Putin succeeds in Ukraine and rebuilds, what is to stop him walking through Europe's (open) back door, Hungry ?

Putin is emboldened by promises no doubt from China, India, North Korea etc of their support if it does become a war with NATO.

2 absolute fucking madmen responsible for the safety of us all right now and I’m not confident they will do that.
 
Pissing the Poles off this could escalate very quickly, they will wipe out Russian forces in Ukraine if they decide to go for it within weeks, trouble is we could all get wiped out then. Trump either needs to stand up or fuck off, let the rest of us get on with it and just push them out the Ukraine. Putin won’t last if we do that.
