Getting perilously close to the West having to act, with or without Trump.
The Poles are already pissed off. It's why they escalated defence spending to over 4% - 5% by next year.Pissing the Poles off this could escalate very quickly, they will wipe out Russian forces in Ukraine if they decide to go for it within weeks, trouble is we could all get wiped out then. Trump either needs to stand up or fuck off, let the rest of us get on with it and just push them out the Ukraine. Putin won’t last if we do that.
Certainly seems to me worth a massive ‘exercise’ by the West around Kalinigrad’s boundaries. If I was being alarmist Id say this could be Russia mapping air defences ready for a run towards Kaliningrad, A military exercise near the border and then air infractions was the pre cursor to the Ukraine invasion.
Common sense says no chance. Yet.
It's the first time offensive weapons have been directly fired into their airspace. This isn't like a 'stray' aircraft' in their airspace or a 'lost submarine' off the coast. These were weapons of war and lots of them.settle down folk, nothing to see here regarding the drones in Polish air space, its been going on for decades with submarines ,aircraft etc and most likely both ways,MSM currently bigging it up bigger than what it is,tomorrow it will be something else
ruSSia claimed it as a Ukrainian false flag operation yet?
UK armed forces are largely expeditionary in their makeup and haven't really focussed on defence of the homeland for quite a while. I think that will have to change fairly rapidly. The sad thing thing is that the UK airspace has barely any anti drone defences.
We have been warned for 2+ years and have done SFA about it.
See @marco 's post aboveIt's the first time offensive weapons have been directly fired into their airspace. This isn't like a 'stray' aircraft' in their airspace or a 'lost submarine' off the coast. These were weapons of war and lots of them.
Had the Polish air defences not shot them down, they would have hit targets in Poland. The only reason the Poles aren't even more pissed off is that they acted in due course, without message from Russia warning them beforehand about 'misguided drones', mind you. Had they not acted, we'd be looking at destruction of civilian properties and at worst, killings.
If someone you hated took potshots at your home and miraculously nobody was injured would you stop and say "hey, now pack it in you lot!"?
Has he said he’s not very happy with Putin yet? Or said he might do something in 2 weeks? After Putin meeting and greeting the leaders of China and India with a big beaming smile on his face - I had a feeling he might ramp it up again, Trump silent once again.
