Murray Rosen KC is a distinguished sports arbitrator. I think City withdrew their original objection to him or at least were pacified and persuaded of his fair approach. He chose the panel but I don’t think he sat on it.My no.1 fear has always been that it was never going to be (despite the protestations of some of our resident legal eagles) with Masters getting to choose who would compile said panel. His choice of an Arsenal season ticket holder did little to assuage the nagging worry that this was always intended to be an exercise in tailoring the evidence to fit the ‘crime’. Hope I’m spectacularly wrong, but this is a multi-billion dollar business and we’re dealing with utter cnuts…..
They may be this year but surely they’ll be restricted over the next few seasons as it’s a rolling amount .. or they would have been if PSR wasn’t disappearingTbf under the current rules both are comfortably within the rules.
We have spent similar amounts (net) over last 12 months or so and we are also well within the rules.
Fact: The only thing we know is, that we dont know!So there was generally a high level of confidence that September would be the month for some sort of verdict/announcement. Now that has come and gone, what are the thoughts on October?
I know. The ‘utter cnuts’ I’m referring to are Masters and the red shirts who gave him their seal of approval. Given the vigour the PL has pursued us with (compared with its recent ‘lift carpet and apply broom’ approach to Chelsea’s admitted misdemeanours), I’m loathe to believe they would have been casual about who got to pick the panel. They would surely have selected the candidate they felt most likely to ultimately deliver them both the panel and result they so clearly crave and, for whatever reason, that candidate was RosenMurray Rosen KC is a distinguished sports arbitrator. Well the guy down the chip shop that swears he's Elvis told me that the government are set to rename the days of the week and the letter Y won't be used! After having a conversation in the pub last night with someone who knows fuck all about football I can confidentially say that the result of all the 115 charges brought against us will be announced on a day with a " Y " in it.
Don't ask for his name as I won't tell you.
YepMy no.1 fear has always been that it was never going to be (despite the protestations of some of our resident legal eagles) with agent Masters getting to choose who would compile said panel. You should've begun your post with "So" just to really wind the overscrupulous pedants up ;)I,personally, myself, love a bit of gratuitous affection especially on a Friday night
Surprised that even this aspect, the panel, has been 100% watertight. My no.1 fear has always been that it was never going to be (despite the protestations of some of our resident legal eagles) with agent Masters getting to choose who would compile said panel. Picky buggerWhy do people persist in writing 'Personally, I...'? It's a gratuitous affectation. If you have something to say, be precise, and 'I' is sufficient here.
It was independent in the Apt case and the Leicester case. These people are respected and professional KC's to be biased in the case against City is more than their collective reputions are worth. My no.1 fear has always been that it was never going to be (despite the protestations of some of our resident legal eagles) with agent Masters getting to choose who would compile said panel. Fair enough. I don’t share your worries but I know nowt.I know. The ‘utter cnuts’ I’m referring to are Masters and the red shirts who gave him their seal of approval. ...we need to get to the bottom of who Mr van What-dya-call-him is and who his Deep Throat informants are, or there's a risk that we'll be misreading his post and believing it to be some sort of Premier League press release. You could have shortened that to "...a united fan..."After having a conversation in the pub last night with someone who knows fuck all about football...
To add to that, they know that their decision is going to be picked over in fine detail by a lot of highly paid lawyers from both sides (plus a lot of armchair lawyers...) so they also know that if it isn't absolutely watertight and shows the slightest trace of bias or lack of diligence it will reflect badly on them. Reputation is everything in their business. It was independent in the Apt case and the Leicester case. Ah, but do we really know that we don't know?Fact: The only thing we know is, that we dont know!

Using as much AI probing and guesswork, the 'machines' think these 3 are the most likely to be the panel, with Teare doubling up 115 with APT.
David Phillips KC (Chair)
Kate Gallafent KC (Panel Member)
Sir Nigel Teare (Panel Member, with Beloff or Dyson as alternatives)
