PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It might come as a surprise to you that this is not the only source on discussion/information on this topic. It has also substantially moved on in the last 2 years. Your post adds nothing to the discussion other than to demonstrate your limited powers of expression and an ability to engage in personal insults.
The hole you have dug throughout the last couple of days requires you to throw away your shovel and hire a jcb.

I did suspect he might not know it was Stefan Borson he was sparring with.

Nothing wrong with questioning anyone's opinion, but you have to be better armed than associating the Chinese spy case to what may happen with the 115.

Fwiw, here's my take on it.

Is it possible the government is exerting influence over the independent panel to come to one conclusion or the other? Imho, not a chance.

Is it possible the government is exerting influence over the PL to make this whole thing go away? I suppose it may be, but it's a little late in the day (English understatement for those who don't get it).

Is it possible the government are following developments closely because if the verdict goes the wrong way (it won't - ed.) then they will have some big fences to mend? Abso-fucking-lutely.

Will documents that show the government followed the case be used as evidence that they did exert influence by cunts who will try to explain how the club "got away with it" by any means possible? Definitely, but it won't stand up to any scrutiny. But like the Chinese spy case, it won't have to - the narrative will have been set. By cunts and believed by lots of cunts.

Oh, and reggae is dreadful.

All the jobs seem extremely generic, nothing industry specific required at all.

40% office based in the Bloc on Marble Street in the city centre. The pay isn't great for the seniority of the roles, so they will mainly go to North West based people as not many will relocate for those wages. Some of the lower grades have been 2 year fixed so that presents its own issues.

They don't look interesting at all to be honest, like any other regulator role.
Who’d be a regulator? That world is populated by professional Karens.

If it is just the way these things get sorted, name one analogous abandonment of a post trial disciplinary by Government/regulatory intervention.

The Chinese spy case. Keep up ....

Edit: I'm replying to a post from about a lifetime ago. Ignore. Note to self: pay more a-fucking-ttention.

Given your late joining of the discussion I can only assume given your concern for my sleeping habits that you have just got out of bed. That might explain the typing errors in your post.
The differences between slbsn and I stem from the fact that he/she utilises the letter of the law in his/her responses and therefore I might assume he/she has a legal background. I do not but firmly believe that the law can be bent to suit the occasion. I'm not sure anybody concerned with the law would admit that in a public forum.
Within their argument they continually point out that this or that is not relevant to the City case and dismiss whether pressure might be brought by a Govt on such a matter. I pointed out The Chinese Spy case which again was dismissed. Others in the legal profession also question the decision.
My view is that the case has sensitivities which are also reflected in the 115 charges. Either I am silly which I can live or slbsnis is somewhat pedantic.

Just regarding your last sentence - this isn't an either/or situation. Pretty sure that you may be silly, while Stefan is also pedantic...
