If we win things we should be congratulated for winning those things specially from our nearest rivals, unsportsmanlike conduct spoils sport it sullies it and takes a lot away from it.

okay, i think i have your drift now, mate.
i just needed to be certain of where exactly you are coming from.

when you said to me,

you were referring solely to, as you call it, proper reggae.
if i am right on that,
you simply meant it doesn't sound like original reggae,
or as i'd call it, traditional reggae.

i cannot disagree with that, nor would i want to do.
but i don't think reggae ended in 1970's when new influences and factors came mixing into the brew.

for me dancehall is still reggae of a sort.
i also don't care for the content of some of the lyrics,
but i still see it as being reggae.
that's where we are at odds.
i didn't shut the door with the early 1970's changes.

when i was living in hulme in the mid to late 80s i used to go to the psv club.
downstairs they would play dancehall interspersed with traditional reggae.
upstairs was mostly dub.

like i said,
i see all the off-shoot genres as still falling under the umbrella of the word reggae.
i don't think i'm alone in that and i doubt david rodigan does either, although i shouldn't speak for other people.

also like i said,
i deliberately posted recent stuff.
you are right, it sounds fuck all like (as we have now established) traditional reggae,
but i still see it as falling under the label reggae.
that's just my opinion and the opinion of respected journalists, producers, fans, and more importantly, traditional reggae artists who are collaborating with mungo's hifi.

do you see bob marley's popular (later in his career) records as reggae?
you suggest the shift towards more produced sounding records was someting (that was a typo but i'm going to leave it hahaha some ting) of an off-putter for you.
he certainly lost that early raw, real instrument sound that you say troubled you a little with dancehall being labelled as reggae.

going back to the early 70s.
when folk like lee scratch perry were popularising dub.
my obvious question is,
do you see dub as reggae or something separate?

If it wasn't this it would be something else. Football is tribal, there's always a reason to hate the opposition. They'd have just accused us of unchartered spending, like most did with Chelsea back in the 2000s.

It was staggering how many Forest fans were calling us cheats at the semi final, seemingly oblivious to the fact they had actually been sanctioned for breaching the rules.

Yep. We're getting more than a tad oversensitive when we start worrying about what other fans think. I hear that "the damage is already done"! "we're branded as cheats"! Well, those who run our club have no remit to run our club to suit fans of other clubs and as afar as I'm concerned they've branded us as "Centurions", "Fourmidables", "domestic treble winners", "European treble winners". And what damage have these fans of other clubs done to us? I've never in my life heard a gang of sousers, cockneys, geordies or Stretfordians sing " we love you City" or "City, City, we'll support you evermore" but in the past I've heard them sing "Relegation to you .." Let's see the charges dismissed and then enjoy ourselves and our club even more.

It's only the older fans imo who may worry or the older ones from other clubs giving it large. The younger ones don't give a rats arse as they don't listen to the mainstream media.

Again, sport is about having recognition for your achievements and without recognition you're left with shit. This is pretty much the biggest sporting autopsy in English football ever and the people who brought these charges forward are/were and will always kill the games reputation by poisoning the well, and they do this to make money and for no other reason.

They have killed the game as a working class spectacle it's now a shadow of the grit it used to be and what we are left with is a mass of happy clapping gimps taking photos and partaking in the food and club shop whilst not knowing fuck all about the history of the sport and its football integrity.

We sold out and we need to buy back.

They will never investigate the other clubs. That is a given. We know the red cartel clubs are untouchable. The whole reason this witch hunt has gone on is to divert attention away from the wanker clubs and to bury the fact they are run badly. The rags for example. A soup sandwich of a mess but all we get is positive stories week after week about them.

That fine they got. The media was falling over themselves to put out the headline it was a minor charge. Anything negative about them gets buried whilst news for us is left up for days on end.

Sky sports news are supposed to be neutral and impartial but they are nothing like that at all, it's all red shirt arse kissing.

Like I said the Premier League or UEFA for whatever reason won't do to the red cartel what they've done to us which is accuse us of lying, committing fraud and fiddling figures.

The red cartel clubs chose the fat **** as Premier League chief wanker, part of the deal was to ignore what they spend, FFP regulations and APT rules.

It's as simple as that. They think going after us would appease the red mardarses and that we'd roll over.

Think again.
