Where would City be without Haaland?
I dread to think…

Our other forwards need to up their goalscoring games. 8 games into the PL season now and ‘Own Goal’ is still our second top scorer with 2.

Across all 11 games in all comps, they’ve scored just 4 goals between them… and 2 goals between them in 8 PL games:

Foden - 1 PL goal, 0 CL goals, 1 EFL goal
Cherki - 1 PL goal (not played in any other comp)
Doku - 0 PL goals, 1 CL goal
Savinho - 0 PL goals, 0 CL goals, 1 EFL goal
Bobb - 0 PL goals, 0 CL goals, 0 EFL goals

Not sure where we are at the moment. Decent in stretches, poor in others, comfortable win in the end.

Very pleased with Nico G and Foden.

We are where we should be: transitioning from a team that couldn't compete last season to a team that can compete. Transitioning means being inconsistent: and not just between games but also within games. That's perfectly normal at this stage of the rebuild, being also without Rodri in most games.

Also, we are great in stretches, not jut decent. The first half at Brentford was wonderful. Arsenal or Liverpool don't play better than that.

let everyone keep writing us off, the desperation for arsenal in the media is nauseating

were not at full pace and we are in amongst it

game at a time lets see where is gets us

A great win against a well organised side. Haaland is just superb at finding space and for both goals Everton will be disappointed they let him find it so easily.

I get the concern around the lack of goals from elsewhere, and chances are falling to others. But for now, happy with the 3pts.

Much more entertaining second half after a drab first . We look so much better when we move it quickly instead of the sideways and backwards shite. Reijnders should be dropped .
I don't agree about Reijnders. He's a new player, and has obvious talent but he's struggled at times. Our job is to to support talented players until they come good.

I also wanted to comment about Savinho. There were a number of fans around me who at 0-0 were frustrated at him but I thought he had a good game. Savinho and Foden had the fortnight to prepare for this game, and it showed in this game. Doku was the in form player but I think the internationals had taken something out of him. O'Reilly played well too. Superb assist for Haaland's first goal which really was a great goal. I loved Haaland's movement and leap for that goal. Once that went in, City started to play. Getting the first goal was very important because there wasn't much between the sides up until that moment and then we started to play.

Found a way to win and it was very comfortable when we did it.

Ake looked like he was towing a caravan and Dias lost everything in the air to Beto in the 1st half. Couple that with both of them making some poor decisions with their passes meant we had to get lucky a couple of times. But we still had our own chances and both Savinho and Doku were frustratingly wasteful. The latter has more in the bank than the former this season though and looked tired.

Miles better in the 2nd half. Moved it quicker and a few of them stepped up when we needed them to and made it a simple win. Once we got the 2nd, they barely touched the ball.

Impressive cameos from Bernardo and Cherki inparticular and thought Bobb did well too. We just looked much safer in possession with them on the pitch, although Everton had stopped pressing at that point.

Special mention for Nunes. His best game for us, that. And Ndiaye for them had some of our lot on strings in the 1st half

Already +8 better off points wise from the same fixtures last season. Still players to come back/play into form. Just keep ticking over quietly let everyone praise Arsenal

This. Second half we were more like City - controlled the game, created brilliant chances for Haaland, kept Everton quiet. Only Ndiaye looked dangerous for them, I was happy when he went off.

I noticed at the game that Tarkowski and Haaland went for a 50/50 early on and Tarkowski came off worse. He tried to grab Haaland as he was getting up but realised he was actually hurt and stayed down crying. After the final whistle when they shook hands Tarkowski grabbed Haaland's arm and was saying something and Pep bounced over and took Tarkowski away so Haaland could go clap the fans. It was nice to see from Pep

First half was really poor and Ake was terrible. 2nd half was definitely much better. I thought the player that got us going in the 2nd half was Nico o'Reilly. 2 or 3 really positive runs and one ending in the assist for Haaland.

Nunes has possibly his best game for City, no bozo moments and Foden really started to demand the ball in the 2nd half and was behind most of the good things we did.

Am a bit worried about Reijnders. He just doesn't seem to impact games at the moment. It's early and he needs time but i'd take him out. When Bernardo came on we looked so much better.

Thought we were poor first half but much, much better in the second.

I still feel as though we're missing a passer in the middle. Reijnders likes to carry the ball and Nico just doesn't move it quickly enough times.

Rodri getting fit should help but I really think it's a position we need a bit more in.
