North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

Fair response. More the how than they why, but I get what you mean.

The club certainly didn't announce 500 new hospitality seats today though, let's not do that. Maybe that is the reality of whatever this bar is, a part of me is open to that tbh, but I think it is unfair to claim that as openly as that. At this point at least.
Ha!

I'm not having a good end to the day. :-(

  • Cross Bar: Located at the start of the expanded section, this space will welcome around 300 fans and offer a relaxed, social atmosphere.
At the start of the expanded section, offering a relaxed and social atmosphere. (just what we need in the new home end)

  • City Hall: A new experience for around 500 fans on matchdays, and a hub for events on non-matchdays. This enhanced bar experience will be located at the back of Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).
As you say, no seats mentioned. Just a new experience and an enhanced bar.(offering another relaxed and social atmosphere)

Honestly mate they’re a doddle to keep up with, just buy all the tickets & the following season you’ll be able to upgrade to a full one (facial recognition aside) check in on the flexi thread if you get one it’s a good source of info. If you’re on Twitter give fan support a nudge, it’s how I got sorted & a lad I give tickets to did the same & got one
You have to personally attend 16 to upgrade to gold. Not just buy them. Unless I’ve got that wrong!?

From the OS:
The introduction of City Hall means that a small number of Season Ticket Members in North Stand Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1) may need to move seats ahead of the commencement of the 2026/27 season.

From the email sent to existing SC holders:
Later today, the Club will be sharing news about the North Stand expansion - including key ticketing updates and details of new matchday experiences. This announcement will include details of City Hall, a new enhanced bar experience for around 500 fans on matchdays, and a hub for events on non-matchdays. This will be located at the back of Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).

If that doesn't scream corporate I don't know what does.
FFS…. Stop referring to it as ‘Corporate’… we don’t have such. We have levels of ‘Hospitality’ and GA+ is the basic level, ie Joes and 93:20. These bars are used by normal legacy City fans. Not big Corporate entities.

from what I’m reading not all the seats in the expanded north stand will be season ticket holders.

With the hotel there it’s making me think how many of the tickets will be part of a package deal. Also what happens when we play say Madrid or Liverpool and the hotel is full of away fans, will the stand be as well?

Normal legacy fans with quite a bit of disposable income to be fair. Most people can’t afford the £1300+ for a season ticket either. To me if you can afford that pricing for essentially a padded seat and fancy bar, it’s essentially basic corporate

But will they be? Or will they be people moving from other stands? If 2000 of them are kids cards how does that make a 'wall' if all 4000 are in the same place?

Also if parents who already have a ST are getting their kids one of these 2000 the chances are they'll have to move to the new NS unless there's room near where they currently sit

I think I have read all the pages but has no one mentioned how shit the name "Cross Bar" is yet? Sounds like it's going to be a cross stand too!

I can't work out the City Hall area, but maybe they'll sell the other 1,000 tickets to that as an extra cost on the season ticket. 500 get access to it and seats in the new stand, others get access to it and GA seats?

Who knows.

The stand can still do the job we want it to, you have to look at the positives. Several thousand in a single tier will out do 800 GA+ seats. But it very much sounds like people are letting the negatives outweigh the positives. I do get the criticism from those having to move and the way it's been announced to them though.

Nothing corporate about it whatsoever. Have you been in Joes or 93:20? Corporate means ‘Corporate entertainment’. GA+ is nothing more than a padded seat, a free pint and a programme. Do you have an issue with some normal legacy blues having a bit more disposable income

We've never been great at Wembley, bar some matches. Away from home in the PL we have one of the best away supports, acknowledged by home fans in the PL.
I agree we do, but wembley is a terrible stadium for any kind of noise, and it's the same for most clubs who visit regularly, those that attend once in a bluemoon are better of course, but even they are never great.

The people getting asked to move from their current seats surely have an entire new stand just behind them to choose seats from. You could end up only a few rows back.

I think one point maybe, the club are moving those fans and replacing them with fans, football tourists, etc, who will pay more for those seats for the big games. They certainly won’t be paying more for those seats for Friday night or Monday night games against the likes of Bournemouth, etc, because they won’t be there, where you can currently buy an extra 4 tickets with a 53,000 capacity Etihad.

I agree. I have always hated the new Wembley.

This will be the latest lazy excuse our apathetic fans have for the flat atmosphere they continue to create. Currently it's the "acoustics " that stop us having an atmosphere (except it doesn't when we can be arsed), over the next few years it will be because " city didn't let us have a blue wall".
100% the fans need to get behind this, we will dictate the singing sections...oh but hang on...1894 don't like this, don't like that, other fans on here just fucking moan & moan about the atmosphere but we have ONE LAST CHANCE to have a PROPER home end but no its not good enough for whatever reason !! The club has basically said, here you go, 3000 standing, you could have more ? But no...moan moan fucking moan...
