Oh go on then I’ll bite. Please explain ?

Sorry for being obtuse.

Pearce wears two hats: one for the EAA which invests in Etihad, and one for the club which receives money from Etihad. Two hats. Magic.

Reference to Magic Top Hat not to twat, I should probably explain .....

Anyhow, Merry xmas one and all.

Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
Thou art not so unkind
As man’s ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.

Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
That dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remembered not.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.
It’s better when sung by CB2.

We’ve won the case haven’t we. For years they’ve attacked us from every corner. Imagine people trying to take the moral high ground in the world we live in. Hypocrites. I so want/need Pep to extend his contract. Imagine the meltdown again. I would be so so happy. More than you believe.
I won’t tempt fate by saying we have won the case. But I am sure that something has gone badly wrong from the PL perspective. There is no way that they would have anticipated or wanted this to still be going on into 2026, and they must regret having approached it as they did, in deliberately firing out as many charges as they could think of. It has made it unworkable, and if the KC panel are on time cost for well over a year of deliberations, the fees involved will cause a total revolt by the other clubs when they become public.

There could be several years without a PL share out. As a result some clubs may fail ffp or whatever it’s called now. All will be pissed off and some will say it’s City’s fault for defending itself.
Remember the daily fail who opined that we should be punished for our arrogance in fighting back.
PL RULE 123: Clubs should not be arrogant, that’s Masters job.

Has anyone posted screenshots of the letters?

I’ve read the text, but it’s impossible to know if the club did anything wrong without seeing the threats in the letters.

You need to subscribe to pay for those magic beans.

I would assume, as in fairness I stopped reading at 'investigative journalist'.

But the other clubs must have an idea how much it's costing if all those KCs are still sending in the bills.
These clubs and their owners are well aware of legal costs in general so if they would tell Masters to cut PL losses if there was serious concern about the outcome.

The PL would have to re-write FFP rules if that was the case. They'd also want to renegotiate broadcast rights and possibly even as for an advance of future rights to allow clubs to continue spending.
And it's all City's fault. Oh lovely fucking jubbly.

The whole letters? I don't think so, I'm not even sure harris has published them fully. There is the only the following from an earlier poster as far as I'm aware.

You weren’t ;)

I must have missed the explanation of why that email doesn’t stress people out that’s all.

Happy Xmas and thanks for your contributions to the thread

How are you more sure now than before ? I what’s changed ?

Fair question. It is simply the passage of time, which is now well over a year since the hearing. That suggests to me that the panel are having difficulty, or there is an unknown factor that is causing the delay. If it is the former, that is good for us, as the PL need to make the case against us, and seemingly it is anything but clear cut. I have always thought that 5 or 10 properly thought through charges would have been more worrying than the 115 charges, which was like chucking manure at a wall and hoping some of it would stick.

It's good to know that the club have, indeed, been proactive behind the scenes. Ziegler's support for Harris makes me wonder if his employers have received a letter too. Anyway, fuck them. Have a merry Christmas blues.
I’m not sure Ziegler’s tweet is supportive of him. To me it reads like “well that’s what happens when you’re a dickhead mate”.
