imminent means about to happen which it hasn't eveytime you said it was. In terms of when you know zilch like everyone else.Because it has been imminent for quite some time. And remains so.

Yes the barristers and their clerks may ask. But I also heard there is some reluctance from both sides to be seen as the party chasing a decision.Apologies if asked before but would there be any line of communication to the panel asking for timescales etc? Assuming not
Is there actually even a way to know it's imminent until it's announced and we realise that it had been imminent?Because it has been imminent for quite some time. And remains so.
Things cannot remain imminent for quite some time.Because it has been imminent for quite some time. And remains so.
It means "happening soon". But you are welcome to think I know zilch and as much as everyone else...imminent means about to happen which it hasn't eveytime you said it was. In terms of when you know zilch like everyone else.
As I have made clear - it is not just me that believes/believed it was imminent. It was the parties themselves including their barristers. You are welcome to believe me or not.Is there actually even a way to know it's imminent until it's announced and we realise that it had been imminent?
Ok cheers, that makes sense to me now.I have lots of information you are missing. And I don't need to rely on misunderstanding Google.
I literally wrote a published article (and numerous other explainers on timelines) as early as 2021 (before charges were even laid) about the glacial pace of such cases.
This is not a court process so timelines should not be as extreme but your reference above is start to finish - issue to trial to judgment. We are nearly 36 months to part judgment IN A PRIVATELY ARRANGED AND PAID FOR PROCESS.
So yes the process is taking a long time.
That doesn’t exactly include the context of 130/131 charges and millions of documents, stretching 9 years and going back as far as 2009, though, does it?ChatGPT's view View attachment 181196
Yes it does. It is complex but not unique. And of course, more complex means longer. But not this long just to the liability decision. And for completeness here is the Chatgpt reply which is in line with my one line reply (fortunately). That doesn’t exactly include the context of 130/131 charges and millions of documents, stretching 9 years and going back as far as 2009, though, does it?
Appreciate it includes the time frame for the hearing, which may indicate the amount of evidence included, just by way of the hearing timeframe, but City’s case is unprecedented isn’t it?

So to be frank, what the fuck are they doing then, in your opinion?Yes it does. It is complex but not unique. And of course, more complex means longer. Taking their time, busy on other things, grappling with tricky issuesSo to be frank, what the fuck are they doing then, in your opinion?
I know you may have written about this somewhere so a link to it would do if you can’t be arsed educating me tonight.
could they be also seeking clarification on certain points or is the time for that gone?Taking their time, busy on other things, grappling with tricky issues
Time gonecould they be also seeking clarification on certain points or is the time for that gone?
You'd think so - easily via the clerks at a set with barristers on both sides.Couldn't both parties agree to jointly ask the question of the panel or are they so far apart that they aren't communicating ? Surely it's in everyone's interest to get to a liability decision know when that is likely to be.
It seems that everyone is frustrated by the length of time this is taking to reach a conclusion.I have lots of information you are missing. And I don't need to rely on misunderstanding Google.

Don't bloody release it now I'm doing dry January!!!
It's also a day closer to us all being dead and the sun running out of hydrogen. It seems that everyone is frustrated by the length of time this is taking to reach a conclusion.
I believe that each day that passes is a day closer to the end of this saga.
