UAP/UFO thread - Non-Human Intelligences

The thing is, we on earth only work at the speed of light as a base to work out the distance and time
But if there is life outside of earth then intelligences from what is not normal to us would seem scary

The UAP balls of light can come out off nowhere and must be a type of time travelling
Small minded people. I’ve said this before. We as a species can’t even be described as infants. We are nothing yet.

A civilisation somewhere could have been where we are now millions or billions of years ago. Even if it’s hundreds of thousands, they would be so far advanced than what we are now it’s impossible to comprehend. They would be capable of things we can only imagine.

It could be, though it could also be extinct before it gets much more if any more advanced than us. Either way there isn’t any evidence whether there is or has been or there isn’t. So it’s just a guess.

He didn't claim there was any evidence. But that there was possibility. Which there is.

Yet are obsessed with coming here and anally probing Texan farmers ..

Just watched Brian Cox….
“Let’s confirm ourselves to the milkyway galaxy, this has approx 400 billion suns, most of them suns have planets around them which makes trillions of planets.
The galaxy had been around for over 10 billion years so plenty of of time for other civilisations to develop”

Un-fucking-believable.
My head hurts thinking about it.

On the other hand, 20 mins ago I (honestly) googled why us blokes fart when having a piss.
Something to do with pelvic floor muscles which means if there is a first contact….they won’t be sending me to meet ET

It is unfathomable. I read once that for every grain of sand on earth, there are one billion planets in the universe. It’s immeasurable to even begin to understand how many planets there are if that’s even nearly accurate.

Back to your post, just within our own galaxy. We as a species are a couple of thousand years old as a civilisation. That could be like a blink of an eye to whatever else is out there. To them we could still be in the extreme primitive stages, and this is why i believe there are visitors to our planet. Their technology far advanced enabling them to do so.

I get the second bit.

We could also be the most advanced species that's ever lived,at the moment we have no evidence whatsoever there is or has been other intelligent life anywhere. Though think most scientists are as certain as they can be there are no visitors to our planet.

Is that the Brian Cox who then postulates that at any one time there is likely to be
only one intelligent species per galaxy?

What do you consider a civilisation?
Human civilisation goes back much, much further than 2000 years!

We could, and that is the counter argument.

The complete unknown. I like to believe we are absolutely nothing yet in terms of technology and space travel, and that even our own galaxy is teeming with life that far more advanced we can’t imagine it.

If our galaxy was teeming with life as intelligent or more than ourselves think we'd probably have detected it. If there is advanced lfe out there it will be in galaxies other than our own.

Fermi would like a word.
