The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides with the tyranny of evil men
Tolmie posted weeks ago it’ll be end of season and before the World Cup, that’s where my money would go.I know where my money would go here.
Told us plenty of times that there hasn't been any verdict when loads have told us he's wrong, there has been and it's just a big settlement which is being sorted off the record between us and the PL and we'll hear about it soon. Everything he's said has stood up, and seems backed up in that Lawyer article today.
You are definitely correct, the question is which season and which World Cup…Tolmie posted weeks ago it’ll be end of season and before the World Cup, that’s where my money would go.
The panel will release their verdict when they have completed it, regardless of any key date in the football calendar.Tolmie posted weeks ago it’ll be end of season and before the World Cup, that’s where my money would go.
Yup, also interacts with Magic Hat on Twitter so @TheLawyer can get in the bin for me!View attachment 190546Feck me, christian smith@ the lawyer, can't help himself, like the rest of them. Just to remind you Smithy, there is a possibility that City will be cleared and the Premier league could once again be found to have acted unfairly and unlawfully. So Smithy, what is probably going on is that the PL are shxxting their pants after letting Levy and Lewis run this whole show and now that their clubs have sacked them because they know the ruling will be disastrous for them, and have moved Levy and Lewis on to create some distance between them. Scruffy jim backtracking started that particular ball rolling.
Keep the faith blues, we will win this.
Luke, I am your father.Could you play that again, Sam, please.
You are definitely correct, the question is which season and which World Cup…
A lack of evidence would still lead to a verdict though lolAccusations+evidence=verdict.
Logic would suggest the lack of a verdict is because one of the other two things is missing, and we know it isn't accusations....
Or a dismissal - I think that's the correct posh legal term to say something is unsubstantiated bollocksA lack of evidence would still lead to a verdict though lol
Naive imo, but I suppose we’ll see mate. The panel will release their verdict when they have completed it, regardless of any key date in the football calendar.
The only way anyone can say the rest of us will hear about it at a certain point is if …
A) The two sides have instructed the panel to hold on to their verdict
B) The two sides HAVE the verdict and have colluded to delay the release
C) The panel have indicated to the two sides that they expect the verdict to be ready by a certain date/month/quarter OR have previously given an indication of how far they have progressed and someone has estimated a rough completion date.
I think C) is the most likely but we’ve had so many predictions already that have been proven wrong.
Thanks for this Peter. If anyone's interested in 3,000 words of analysis on what reasons may lie behind the length of time being taken for the Panel in the PL and MCFC case to issue its judgment, The Lawyer magazine has just published this piece: Where is the Manchester City judgment? Eight possible scenarios
Not able or willing to respond myself to questions on here concerning this article. Maybe someone else will be, but that's up to them.
Thanks for this Peter.
I see the MUEN has picked it up today and of course is only publishing the bad options. Dropping my pennywort in, I think the most likely options are:
- Split decision.
- Both parties in Settlement Discussions.
And to note the 1st would also probably lead on to the 2nd.
And the 2nd includes redactions associated with any judgement.
Now as City aren't Going to accept any sort of guilt they don't have too, I suspect it could drag on for years more yet.
Maybe. It would be interesting if an ETA could be extrapolated if the range of expected hours/days at the outset is known (based on previous cases) and then compared with whatever invoices are being received.Naive imo, but I suppose we’ll see mate.
City are definately refusing that one.Am sure they said they ain’t even settling for none Cooperation
