FC United Thread

Over in the other game Hednesford beat Stockton with
3535 bothering to turn up. That wasn’t a game against local opposition, just a better fanbase

Saw this thread first thing this morning and it really put a spring in my step even though I haven't had time to post until now. Really pleasing that these twats have failed.

As for the difference between FC Scum and Hednesford, I'd say that the main thing is that Hednesford actually represents a community, like most clubs at this level - even those with comparatively tiny support bases. The mini-rags, on the other hand represent no one but a bunch of self-aggrandising tossers who amount collectively to nothing but a grotesquely inferior tribute act.

Why the fuck would most people in Moston or adjoining districts of north Manchester want to get involved with an ego trip like that? The support the jokers have had from the political and media arenas is absurd. But here I'm preaching to the converted and have already banged on about it in this thread endlessly so I'll stop and just bask in the result.

These scrounging parasites were odds on to come 1st with only 4 games left. I'm still scratching my head how they managed to come 3rd in a one horse race. I can see them poor bucket shaker volenteers with 3rd degree burns/blisters on their hands in the coming months.

A cynic might suggest they threw it to avoid paying players more next season.

As the season progressed, they got more and more fortunate with last gasp goals.
To me it's no surprise they eventually folded under the pressure

I used to go and watch Altrincham when I was growing up in Wythenshawe when city weren't playing as an under 16 it was a £1 to get in. In the early 90's they had a great team for that level and were odds on to get promoted out of the conference with 5 games to go when they beat Barnet at home you were also going for the league title. Their form fell off a cliff and Barnet were promoted and the rumour doing the rounds was that Altrincham could not afford to pay players full time wages that they would have needed to do in the old 4th division so the management paid the players a bonus to throw a couple of games to avoid the promotion.

In that case I imagine the board at Pallet Park offering each of the players £1000 worth of their community shares……

hahahaha.

I am surprized the snake oil salesmen of a committee haven't started flogging the idea of parts of Pallett Park being sponsored by some the sheep that follow the bucketeers. I can see one of the sales pitch now.

"You too could leave a lasting legacy by sponsoring for life a toilet in the main stand so that future generations will be able to recognise your contribution to the cause every time they take leave of their bowels and all for the bargain price of of £99.99 per month"

T&C : The sponsorship will be secured against your house and default of a payment may result in the repossession of your home.

They used Bower Fold a few years back and absolutely no one from Stalybridge bothered with them in fact they were made very unwelcome in many pubs
The Town was full of the scroats for an hour before each game and no sign they’d been there within 30 mins of the final whistle
What was baffling several cars ended up with flat tyres not far from my house where the fuckers parked several times across peoples drives

That’s not very nice.

If I recall, when in their 1st season, Maine Road FC switched the game from Brantingham Road to Bower Field.
The night before the game, the community club's fans graffitied the ground with all sorts of FCUM shite.
