North Stand Construction Discussion

Sat right in the middle of Pep stand.
Singing right and left and behind us, and a pleasant atmosphere.
I thought South Stand were good too.

But on 36 minutes I watched hundreds exiting for the bars, in the south, the same where I was sat. With 3 minutes added, and many not returning until after Villa equalised, nearly 30 minutes, I do not get it.

The atmosphere fell flat until the subs were made. I know it will not change, i just do not understand it.

Brilliant that 99.9 % of blues stayed, it was a memorable day.

I
Are they going to actually put Peps name on the stand like they have at the swamp ?
I fecking hope not!
The old pxsscans name on their stand is a reminder to every one of their managers that he still has a say in their work every time they look up. Leave Pep outside with his name and statue.

It was great to see it open. It looked fabulous. I had a wander round under the tunnel and Matlock square starting to look good.

Brickwork still fucking atrocious though. ;-)

When you walk through Medlock Square now there’s the walkway you realise just how smart that is going to be in there once the roof is on. Exciting times.

Looked mint from the south stand, didn't hear anything from them though. Would be good to hear genuine noise started from that end next season but I have my doubts.
This must be an acoustics thing, seen quite a few in the SS say they couldn’t hear anything from the Pep stand.
But I’m bang on halfway in the East lower and the north stand was definitely and noticeably louder than the south for large parts of the game
The pretty shameful, bone idle, complacent, shambolic no-show by the players in the second half did a lot to suck all the life out of the stadium

There was a slightly awkward moment today when about 500 people in SSL1 were chanting "North Stand, give us a song", when only a minute earlier 8,000 people in NSL2 had been belting out Bluemoon at full volume.
l can't help but feel there's going to be abit of a rivalry between the North and South next season.

Can't wait, going to be like the kippax Vs north stand (MR) days

Probably partly acoustic. I'm south stand lower and genuinely didn't hear anything that I could say definitely started over there and it didn't seem any different to any other game this season in terms of where the noise came from.

It is hard to distinguish noise from the other side of the ground when you're surrounded by noise but saying that, I've been to plenty of away grounds where you can tell when noise is coming from 1 opposite end or both.
