Known Issues - New Forum

Which is the message I am receiving in the known issues thread, even though I've posted in there, hence the new thread which bizarrely I can start

Please move this to the known issues thread when this is resolved

Sideways bump.

only its web address in a grey box in the bottom left of the page.
I would consider resetting your Chrome browser. Click on the 3 horizontal bars in the top right and select 'Settings'. Scroll all the way down and click on 'Show advanced settings' and then scroll down all the way again. Click on 'Reset settings' taking note of what it will change and then close it down and restart. If you now get the links popping up you could try re-enabling your extensions one by one to see if it's a particular one that's causing the issue.

The time stamp on the post's seems to be changing after being posted. On http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/welcome-to-the-new-forum.312907/page-62 @aguero93:20 managed to reply to @BillyShears before he actually asked the question.

Welcome to the new forum
Welcome to the new forum

Edit: ahh, unless @aguero93:20 edited an earlier post. Does it not indicate an edited post anymore?

2nd Edit: ignore me, I've just realised that @aguero93:20 replied to @BUDTHEWISER and not @BillyShears whose post was below his.

If I start to reply to a post and then change my mind, the next time I click on the thread the post I was going to reply to is in the message box waiting for me to hit send. It's annoying as fuck.
No matter how many times I delete it, the next time I view the thread it's there again.

You used to be able to select the old layout in your preferences. Can you still do this?
No, they couldn't bring the old layout into this new setup.

In time alternative layout's may become available, though its not considered a priority.

The change was mostly about site reliability, and its not in its final format yet,as further tweaks are expected over the next few weeks, but the guys responsible for making it happen are taking well earned breaks over the next few weeks. The work to make this happen took lots of time over several weeks, and straight after the season ended was the best time to complete the change.

It does, edited shows on the right of the post.

Thanks, I hadn't spotted that.

One thing it does, if you reply to a post a page or two before the end, is show your reply to that post immediately after it, keeping you where you were reading the thread, a good change imho, however your reply is actually at the end of thread as it should be, I think that is confusing to some, but it allows you to continue reading the thread from where you replied.

Ahh, I was wondering about that, I'm glad I didn't report it as a bug now ;) It's a feature, not a bug actually applies here.

I used to open the following page in a new tab when replying to an earlier post so it will be useful.

Because the EDS forum is a child forum of the main one, if the latest post was in the EDS forum, it shows as latest in both the EDS and Bluemoon forums.

Yep, just noticed that today, and it is annoying.

It should only happen if you go back to the same thread ? If you go to a different thread it shouldn't be there. Is this how its working for you both ?

The forum software actually saves a draft message, which is useful if you have to go away for a few minutes without completing it. Once you do reply to that thread the reply box should become empty again.
