I am not joking here but this kid with the right guidance will become even better than Bale.
YES...couldn't agree more...with current projections of what this lad has done so far in his career he can be as good as wants to be and with Merlin and our man Kun (rather than Lambert and Markovic) he'll get even better...

It's a no brainer to pursue Sterling. He could become absolutely world class, but even if he doesn't he'll at least be an average starter for us that provides us with elements we lack. There's no better prospect in the world currently at his age or younger.

I think Sterling is even underrated because he's English. Seems to take a lot of unwarranted criticism. It's like people forget that he's 20 years old and treat him as if he's 28 and a finished product with nowhere to go.

I dont think that the next we hear will be that we have lodged another bid. We wont hear a thing until there is breaking news that we have agreed a fee, medical tomorrow blah, blah.

I also think this will be by weds at the latest.

I won't be happy spending £50+ million on a player who's;

1) Done nothing significant to report (i.e he hasn't single handedly won an FA Cup or Champions League .... like Gerrard did.)
2) Has disrespected Liverpool by not signing a £100,000 p/w deal at the age of 20 and then saying it's not about the money.
3) Comes with a questionable attitude.

Still, I'll respect Manuels' judgement over my own so if he signs so be it!

Rag.

I really hope we can get this over the line this week.

I want Sterling to complete a full pre-season with City to get his confidence up otherwise if he comes in late and doesn't start well the media will be after him and that will do nobody any favours.

There's no such thing as a blue from Wrexham...full of rags or dippers so i'm calling it

How does he have a questionable attitude???
He left QPR (London) his home to move to Liverpool at a really young age to be the best he could. Now it’s time to step up again and play for a better team. All that shows me is he has plenty of ambition and belief in himself and isn’t scared to do what he has to do to get the top.

You'll find there's one or two around ..... a few more seem to be popping up if I'm honest?

Wrexham you'll find is mainly home town conference fans with a small brigade of Everton/Liverpool fans dotted about!

Regarding points one and two.

Are you taking I piss?

I can't tell if that's satire.

That is your opinion & i respect that, you make some knowledgable & valid points, however i do not rate him like you do, Isco or Reus in my eyes are superior & a similar price. Football is all about opinions you have yours, i mine, i doubt either of us will change our minds :)

Football is not a science m8, any player talented or not is a gamble- How many top players have flopped in England?!- Veron for example amongst many others.

No one can say definately that a player will be a success, Sterling or any player that is proven in the English league has an advantage over a player who is un-tested in the tough, physicality of the premiership, however i think he is unproven & overated, you don't fair enough, time will tell...

I just used Rose as a quick & cheaper wxample their are others & TBH i think he can defend better than Kolarov, going forward is another argument.

I don't think Reus or Isco are anything like Sterling. They're more akin to De Bruyne in my opinion and I'd be happy with any of those options. England doesn't really have an answer to that type of player. Lallana is probably the only one who is able to go past a player but is also very creative on the ball. It's something we lack at all age groups.

Sterling is much quicker than Isco, Reus or De Bruyne. I don't know of many players out there who have the same attributes. I'm not saying it's not a risk, every signing has an element of risk to it because you don't know how they'll settle. Di Maria has struggled to consistently show his best form - he's a similar player to Sterling and look how much he cost. The rags will struggle to recoup their outlay for him, we've at least got some security with Sterling in that we should still be able to get a decent price for him even if he flops.

We need homegrown players with Milner and Lampard leaving. We also need pace and youth. Sterling ticks all three boxes, there are not many out there who will. If you ignore the homegrown element, there still aren't many players with his attributes out there, certainly not many that we will get for a decent price. Bale? £80m? Chelsea went for Cuadrado, spent big and barely used him - he might do more for them this season but we've a player who has done it in our league before so there's added security there. I don't rate Rose one bit. As a defender that's what I look at first - can he defend? The answer is no. We already have a homegrown left back anyway. We may as well get a better foreign player in if we look to replace Kolarov. At right back, Clyne is a good option but again £20 plus million pounds. Do we spend £20m on a few homegrown players that make little impact or spend £50m or there abouts on one who, ignoring potential, ignoring possible injuries etc, would start for us and would give us an injection of pace? I'd go with the latter. As you say, it's something that is clearly splitting many City fans.

Incorrect, it's the Welsh dialect which was disturbed when all the scousers came to North Wales on their vacation which ruined it! FACT
