He isn't 'Our Stevie G' ....... he's just a friend of a second cousins' boyfriend's step-dad who I happened to meet once in Prestatyn. So what of it?
I have him down as a candle bearerRag.
Anyway, back to the point .... I take it I walked in to a Raheem Sterling Appreciation thread by mistake?
You'll find there's one or two around ..... a few more seem to be popping up if I'm honest?
Wrexham you'll find is mainly home town conference fans with a small brigade of Everton/Liverpool fans dotted about!
Yup - +1I have him down as a candle bearer
I won't be happy spending £50+ million on a player who's;
1) Done nothing significant to report (i.e he hasn't single handedly won an FA Cup or Champions League .... like Gerrard did.)
2) Has disrespected Liverpool by not signing a £100,000 p/w deal at the age of 20 and then saying it's not about the money.
3) Comes with a questionable attitude.
Still, I'll respect Manuels' judgement over my own so if he signs so be it!
I think you have pal...do you not think he'll be a world beater? With our fantastic players who are able to pick a pass combined with his electric pace be a match made in heaven surely?Anyway, back to the point .... I take it I walked in to a Raheem Sterling Appreciation thread by mistake?

Can't say I know the lad I'm afraid? Although, how is giving an opinion mis-interpreted as talking shite about a City target?
I feel that Liverpool will be getting the best of this deal by walking away with £50million to play with in the transfer window!
I don't think Reus or Isco are anything like Sterling. They're more akin to De Bruyne in my opinion and I'd be happy with any of those options. England doesn't really have an answer to that type of player. Lallana is probably the only one who is able to go past a player but is also very creative on the ball. It's something we lack at all age groups.
Sterling is much quicker than Isco, Reus or De Bruyne. I don't know of many players out there who have the same attributes. I'm not saying it's not a risk, every signing has an element of risk to it because you don't know how they'll settle. Di Maria has struggled to consistently show his best form - he's a similar player to Sterling and look how much he cost. The rags will struggle to recoup their outlay for him, we've at least got some security with Sterling in that we should still be able to get a decent price for him even if he flops.
We need homegrown players with Milner and Lampard leaving. We also need pace and youth. Sterling ticks all three boxes, there are not many out there who will. If you ignore the homegrown element, there still aren't many players with his attributes out there, certainly not many that we will get for a decent price. Bale? £80m? Chelsea went for Cuadrado, spent big and barely used him - he might do more for them this season but we've a player who has done it in our league before so there's added security there. I don't rate Rose one bit. As a defender that's what I look at first - can he defend? The answer is no. We already have a homegrown left back anyway. We may as well get a better foreign player in if we look to replace Kolarov. At right back, Clyne is a good option but again £20 plus million pounds. Do we spend £20m on a few homegrown players that make little impact or spend £50m or there abouts on one who, ignoring potential, ignoring possible injuries etc, would start for us and would give us an injection of pace? I'd go with the latter. As you say, it's something that is clearly splitting many City fans.

JT bigging sterling up that's just put another couple of mill on the price.
