Exactly and for all we know something may have happened for not having to put in such a request.I just get a bit pissed off when some fans shout and scream, just because they can`t see anything happening, that a transfer request would speed the process up.I've heard that United always used to demand that a player put in a transfer request before moving to them. Whether that was to lower the fee and/or brag about how much the player must want to move I don't know. Chelsea were happy to put their hand in their pocket to give that little more to PSV for Robben though. We should never think that we're above our station and demand prospective signings put in transfer requests.
And thats the fault of ... ? ;) Us daft fuckers.700 pages 7000 posts later........................
How does anyone know there isn't a new offer in? Leaks have been plugged, methinks.
23 bids, 36 medicals and counting. And thats the fault of ... ? ;) Us daft fuckers.
Well since the leaks have come from the Dippers I doubt it. If we put in a £50m bid they'd be screaming about it from the roof tops on how they "have got one over City".
I know, it's one of the funniest things you could read, and yet people take it as gospelHow do you actually 'brace yourself' for a bid ?
What does it involve ? Do they all strap themselves into seats whilst one nervously sits by the phone ?

Over 274 days, or about 25 posts per day.
That's < 1% of the overall posts per day on here and transfer season actually sees a drop in posts compared to regular season
Hi Graceboy, thanks for your comments.....genuine question.....if FFP goalposts are a factor and the FFP meetings don't go well for us at the end of the month....you think there is a chance, we wont be able to go after Sterling, Pogba AND De Bruyne anyway due to the amounts that would cost? thanks
I don't know for sure, but I would hazard a guess as yes we will be. Our senior management board would of been preparing our summer targets and budgets a long time ago, prior to the FFP relaxation being announced. I would expect they just need clarification on the wiggle room it creates for us now and maybe margins can be relaxed.
Exactly, we will get him but unfortunately on Liverpools termsAnd I think that the fact he hasn't handed in a transfer request indicates that Liverpool haven't made any suggestions to him that they will refuse to sell no matter what the bid is. Clearly the position is that when an acceptable bid comes in, they'll allow Sterling to leave. Everything seems to suggest we will up our bid, Liverpool will accept and Sterling will sign for us without having to hand in a transfer request. It would be different if he had a say £70m break clause and no interested club were willing to go that high, that would be the time to hand in a transfer request.
Nope !This one's dragging, isn't it?
