Raheem Sterling - Done - See main forum

So basically you're backing your points with a youtube video? I admit he played well against Chelsea but overall he hasn't done anything worthy of getting into any top team hence why no one wants to get him.

Like I said before, when's the last you watched him play?

Yes - as the video clearly illustrates his key qualities against a top side. It's not a highlight reel from a tin pot league. Problem?

I've watched Sterling a lot. Unless you hadn't noticed he has been playing mostly out of position for a shite team, as well as made the focal point despite being 20 years of age.

Also worth pointing out that he's wanted to leave so that has obviously affected his form too.

To answer your question without getting my diary out I saw him against Ireland the other day.

I like it how no one answers my question. Says somethingif you ask me...
You're asking a stupid question. We are all City fans so nobody watches Liverpool's full 90 mins every week. Most people's opinions are based on MOTD, England performances and the 2 times we play Liverpool each season.

I'd never watched a Valencia or Atletico game before we signed Silva and Aguero but every one knew of their reputed quality.

I never watch PSG but I know Zlatan is a good player.

He's more proven than Hazard ever was at this stage.

Whilst Hazard has gone on to underline his potential, and some, his showreel was tormenting the dross of French football, even before PSG came into big bucks.

Now Sterling has been to a World Cup, where he was head and shoulders above everyone on the field against Italy, and proved in the competitiveness of the hardest league in the world that he has the goods.

Now couple that together by harnessing that pedigree with people such as Aguero, Toure and Silva, and you have the components for a Hazard Mark II.

I would urge people to watch his late cameo for Liverpool when Rodgers laughably left half his team on the bench for the 1-0 defeat against Real Madrid last season.

Madrid knew what was coming on to the field of play and they panicked every time he got the ball and were reduced to numerous free-kicks.

Perhaps his finishing can be refined, but would expect that burden to be lifted if he's got the likes of Aguero to pull back to from the by-line.

Look how he sparked off Suarez.

agree but have the feeling when he plays for us next season those fouls he was getting at Liverpool will become none fools and yellow cards for diving for us! the media will make sure of it they will highlight it as "diving" and we all know the referees get that message.. the amount of times Silva and Aguero get constantly fouled and referees never give a foul is laughable, we get no protection from referees for our top players...

Christ please don't say that. I can just imagine the amount of kicking Silva, Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne would get.

if we sign him that goes without saying. But he can cope with that. We need him in our team as his ability one on one can unlock a defence. City on the breakwaway with a front 3 of Sterling, Bony and Aguero would be terrifying. Who would you mark?

Difficult for Sterling this season has he has been the marked man at Liverpool. Their sole cutting edge. if you ask me there are two forwards in the Premiership who strike fear into me: Sanchez and Sterling. No one else

He would evolve and thrive so much in our team with world class like silva, aguero etc opening up more space for him and him for us. You all saw what he did with Suarez and Sturridge two years ago, he knows what he is doing, he has just been playing with a shit team.

Was made to look better than he actually is by Goofy and Co.
Over rated and thinks he's better than he is. Not sure if he would be an asset or a greedy money grabber.

The prospect of Sterling coming to us is a positive for every party involved.

Liverpool get good money for a player who wants out and a player who their fans and ex players think is overrated.

City get the brightest English prospect in a position we badly need to upgrade.

Sterling gets to play with the likes of Silva, Aguero and Yaya which will naturally improve his game. He also gets a chance to compete for major silverware.

England get to see their brightest prospect improving and gracing the European stage rather than playing with the likes of Ings and Milner.

However, I don't feel it will be portrayed like that.
