City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Is anyone asking if we'll be restricted forgetting we have broke even and our sanctions have been lifted? Confirmed by UEFA to members of the press.

The questions are: will we have the extra freedom to spend freely and did our projected spending even rely on that anyway (especially since first reports of our planned spree came well before UEFA's public plan to relax FFP - unless we got advance notice).

But surely if we can't spend freely, then we're under restriction?

I'm terrible with business, money and maths, but when I see FFP and City I panic!

The most corrupt sport in the world. Why the fuck should we do what Uefa say anyway havent their bosses just been bummed by the FBI?

It would seem you can accelerate spending plans and carry a deficit provided you haven't been hit with sanctions the previous three years

Seems as though you are now allowed to do what we did, but we can't and we won't be able to in the near future either

Not corrupt though, not at all

Was it confirmed by UEFA?

It might not impact on our spending plans this Summer but it's the sheer injustice of it, the Milan clubs, Dipperpool (if they get a new owner) and almost everybody else can do exactly what we did and it'll be deemed totally legal whereas we were slaughtered for it.

Well, of course. Every day FFP exists we're restricted. But the question is does it restrict our long-term summer plans and I'm not really convinced it does but maybe someone can say otherwise.

FFP is on borrowed time, especially with these changes which open up more holes for lawyers. Our immediate concern is this summer.

UEFA really are now looking like they are prepared to go on almost a suicide mission to stop City.
They seem to be prepared to take any short-term measure, no matter how obviously crooked, to achieve their ends.
They must know that these measures are unsustainable legally , but they seem to be hell-bent on trying to carry them out, irrespective of the long term repercussions to their own organisation, legally and financially. They seem to be becoming totally obsessed with City (and PSG), to the exclusion of sanity.
The tone and content of M.Dupont's reply tells me that they are in control of the situation and seem very confident of their position.

So how does this effect our spending this summer? Do we have the money to spend on our targets or have we been screwed again?

Wonder if this shit is to try stop us getting the 3 players we have this season? Is it me or is this so glaringly an anti City thing? Even my rag acquaintances say it is.

UEFA are so corrupt it's untrue. If we're restricted for this summer we can forget our big name signings!

cannot wait for this corrupt house of cards to fall , a la FIFA , and take all the knaves, thieves and vagabonds with it. They're agenda is plain for all to see now, I will be very surprised if the courts allow this it is clearly one rule for us ( and PSG) and one for the old G14, the lying , corpulent, blood sucking bastards. I often wonder if it is pure racist jealousy , to stop "the arabs". Anyway whatever it is it stinks and is as far from fair play as you can get.

This is not Financial Fair Play but rules to scupper either our plans or PSGs no one else. Just hope the court case blows these regulations off the map because even with the relaxation they are still an embargo of sorts on investment. The old G14 loooking after themselves to the detriment of every one else, what a surprise.

M.E .N. reporting that we will be restricted again this season, the new FFP rules will not apply to teams that have fallen foul to the previous conditions so us and PSG are fucked.Sorry can't do links but I hope Stuart Brennan is wrong because I don't understand any of this shit,i just wonder if this is the reason behind our slow transfer dealings.

Yeah because fucking Barca can't buy anyone. So they will try fuck with us this season then allowing Pogba to go to Barca next season?

Yep the KUNT Gill probably giggled his way through putting that rule in there..

You need to calm down young man. These changes don't stop us doing what was planned for this summer as those plans fell within the FFP anyway. We don't need accelerated spending, so we don't need to worry about this three year restriction on accelerated spending, if it is true.

Of course, I may be wrong, in which case: Panic!

And not for the first time Brennan is wrong.

''Earlier this month chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak expressed his confidence that the issue was behind City, saying: “We dealt with the pinch last year from financial fair play, whether you agree with it or not, it’s behind us and we are out of it now.”''

That is the only thing that matters. If Brennan honestly believes these changes affect us as a club then he surely also means Khaldoon hasn't got a fucking clue

I can't see how it does impact on transfer plans this summer as these plans will have been mapped out months ago. We seem to be playing our own game here independent of what UEFA had planned for FFP.

Equally barring City and PSG from future relaxation of the rules is just asking to have your arse kicked. Add in UEFA's high handed attitude towards the recent court ruling not to mention FIFA's own legal troubles which may or may not wash up on UEFA's door at some stage and you have to wonder what they are smoking.

This is UEFA FFP 2 new rules mean the old ones don't exist, does this mean we have to abide by the FFP 2 new rules?
