But they are only being "dragged through the mud" on a forum run by fans of the club trying to buy their player. They are acting like a bunch of twunts but being fully supported by the lick-spittle morons in the British media.
They are twunts - on here only. Sod all criticism elsewhere.
Some of their players refused to play for previous clubs - only on here. Sod all memories elsewhere.
They are releasing more shit than a Cairo sewer pipe yet the media morons treat each festering turd as though it is solid gold.
We can smell the bullshine, but precious few others seem to be able to.
Drop the price by a million a day and leave them with an unhappy player with a rapidly diminishing value.
As for other transfers; we shouldn't be coming out with crap about crying in September if we don't get our targets. We should be moaning in August if we're still dropping points against duff teams through not getting our targets.
 
I think it will also be rejected just to prove a point. All it will do is stop Liverpool signing a top striker, because there's no way they can splash another 30m plus out without selling.
 
If the board are anything like their fans they'll reject it to try and look like the "macho man" in all this. If they do, fuck them and let the stupid bastards suffer in return.

City will probably let it sit on the table for a few weeks. If it's not accepted we will blink on the last day of the window and probably do the full £50m like Chelsea did with Torres

I have a suggestion, but I know this would never happen. But in an ideal world it would, if only to show the agents and their trumped up players who is the boss and this is it:

To start lets summarise - Liverpool have a player with 2 years left on his contract, if they don't sell now his value plummets until eventually (thanks to Bosman), he becomes a free agent. So they need to sell, but that means the player has won - I think we all agree his current actions, especially refusing to go on the pre-season is wrong - and surely a breach of his contract.

City could do with him, although I for one am not sure he is the finished article, but he is English and he has potential.

This is what I would love to happen - City and Liverpool agree a deal BUT IT HAPPENS IN SECRET. We will have him in 2016 and they get something like 35 million NOW. BUT and this is the key thing: for the next 12 months HE STAYS AT LIVERPOOL, he trains with the youth team, maybe sits on the bench a few times, but never actually plays. Maybe that way he will learn some humility. Liverpool will have what they want (some money to buy a strike force) we get Raheem and possibly with a different attitude. Finally, players (especially this one who has got too big for his boots) may realise that football is a team sport, and some clubs have a long and cherished history, that should'nt be shat upon like he is doing. P.S. Im not a Liverpool fan! but if he gets his own way and the transfer happens now what will stop him (and his agent) doing to us, what he is doing to Liverpool in 3 or 4 years time?

You're hiding behind the agent. I don't think there's any place in the game for agents. PFA shuld carry out that role.

But regardless you have to respect the players wish if he does not want to sign the contract. And LFC have not done that. They've used the media and every pundit going, plus the fans to heap pressure on the player. LFC got criticism for their conduct during Suarez. This is as bad. It's not being highlighted because the club involved is City and not Utd. Press get more mileage out of hammering the player.

Reading tonight that City are set to make a final bid. Not sure if that's true, and if it is your lucky. A get out of jail card
 
Liverpool would be absolutely idiotic if they turn down this final bid. We could buy him next year for 10million, if they think it's worth losing 30million to keep him for one season, they're even more fucked up than I thought they were.

Really pleased if we get him, he's exactly they type of player we need. Can't help but thinking we should have paid Hazard's dad that 5mil though!
