Don't forget that Sterling also gets his loyalty bonus from the transfer fee. I've heard reports of it being 4M.
So 'Pool gets a mere 31M for their best young player.
I wonder if we are giving him much of a signing on fee? That would pretty much identify why we shifted our position from £40m + £4m to the reported deal value.

Saw in the mail that Sterling is on 160k plus bonuses. Liverpool are paying Milner 10 less, and United 20 less with Schweinsteiger. Apparently its good business to pay aging players high wages but do so for the best prospect in English football is ruining the game. Its truly through the looking glass...

I've heard Schweinsteiger is on £275k a week.

He won't but I hope he or his agent speaks out about the despicable campaign against him that Liverpool waged in the media. A 20yr old! All because they can't accept they're now a feeder club.
I agree, I'm hoping they both shed some light on this to hush the media and other deluded fans. I've started to bite in work already this week with dippers, rags, chelski rent-boys and even West Ham fans thinking they can have a pop at us. ("£49m, he will be on the bench, money grabber, he's shit, you've got no histree, you destroy English players") ... BLAH BLAH FUCKING BLAH!

I'd rather they showed some of the class and dignity that the dippers are not famous for and settled for looking forward to Sterling's future rather than back.

He is my ass don't you fucking know that he is one of theirs but was played as a undercover agent till now..i also heard that he not only play for free for the love of that ''famous'' shirt he also give from his own money to play for ''the biggest club in the world''

What are the £5m add ons?
I really hope it is tied in to him winning trophies. It will be great to wind the dippers up by reminding them that they want us to win things to get their money.
I've even started winding them up that we originally negotiated the Milner deal to include £20m in add ons should he help them to win a trophy. Then we reflected and thought 'f**k it, we might as well save the ink'

It really isn't tricky.
Barcelona were maintaining their position as a top team while we are upsetting at least one media darling club every time we strengthen.
Think of all the morons who believe you can support a football team via the medium of television and then see why the broadcasters and advertisers are worried about our success.

Spot on the media have spent the last few years blowing smoke up certain teams arses to gain credit and now that credit means sweet FA as both us and Chelsea have steamrolled our way in to the elite.

£5m if Liverpool win the league, we've not even bothered to set it aside.

I'd totally take him out of the limelight. Announce the signing on the club website, do the video with him talking up reasons why he wants to be here, not why he wanted to leave Liverpool.

Then give the press fuck all. They'll be waiting to slaughter him at first opportunity so why give them the chance.

Still remember that first Mancini press conference where they were baying for blood. Will be the same here.

Let him do the talking on the pitch, maybe Ward can give John Cross an exclusive a few months down the track.

Yes very true actually, letting his football do the talking is probably the bigger move. Hopefully we see him holding that beautiful sky blue shirt up later today anyway!

I hope he heads to Australia!! I would love to watch him play Saturday as I am going to the game vs Melbourne city!!!
Won't be playing on Saturday, none of the international players will either. Just kompany, yaya, Nasri etc and youngsters on Saturday.
