Used to love this which did the rounds many many years ago......when we were shit..

It's started already...
We all know when we buy anybody, the press include the purchase price+add ons+wages over the contact+pension scheme+VAT+import duty+shoe polish etc etc.
Yet when the rags buy anybody, not only do they only mention the purchase price, it somehow gradually gets lower by the month.
Well...Bastian Schweinsteiger's £14+m fee is shrinking already (Yahoo/Eurosport). (I have only seen one article quoting Sterlings £44.5m correctly (Evening News), with most articles quoting £49m)

The Germany midfielder had been struggling with a calf injury during his club's pre-season tour of the USA after his £10m transfer from Bayern Munich.

Eventually he will have graduated through their academy. :-)

Official reason: 12 Racists in a mini bus bus protesting.

Unofficial reason: rags get extra prep day for their big CL tie against the mighty FC Brugge...
A brilliant conspiracy. Has LVG sponsored the mini-bus?

I seriously thought that it was a trial for future Friday night games.

I think the future of Friday night football depends more upon the rags and dippers and their possible prior engagements on Thursday nights tbh.

The arrogance of the twits, thinking they are above the campaign to promote women's football.

Feminists are right to slam them sexist ****s.

I really don't see why they should be pressured into creating a team just to appease those that think they should be promoting womens football. It's a business, United moreso than most, there's no money to be made from the womens team so why introduce one?

Name me another business that's as heavily in debt as United are yet would branch out into something they already know will cost them money not make them money and the only benefits to come out of it would be to the sector in general rather than that business.

It's all about money, profit and balancing the books. The last time they had a ladies team it cost them money. Then factor in City making a real effort in the women's game and the facilities we have for them to train and play in, the rags know they would have to invest an absolute fortune just to compete. Otherwise they'd be playing second fiddle in the women''s game as well as the men's. A combination of their ego's and their accountant will keep them well away.

From a business perspective they are making a mistake, perhaps due to the Glazernomics involved. Direction of travel on women's football is clearly upwards, money will start to come into the game & as a business as they are - should be looking at new markets to invest in. Here they are failing which is great for us as we can exploit the gap & dominate women's football. The other way of looking at their stance is borne from their natural arrogance, they'll create a team when they want i.e when it's popular enough for them to make a quick buck, & as they are who they are they will have the media fawning over them & all the best players desperate to join, a mistake I think.

Can someone please tell me why they should start a women's team? Oh, as for the success of the Women's World Cup..........?

A post from redcafe about womens football which perfectly sums up the average glory hunting cunts that they attract as fans.

The annoying thing is that in the long run, as the women's game becomes more popular, Manchester United will probably have to cave-in and start a team; and when that happens we will have to endure endless taunting because we will be so far behind our rivals in terms of honours/titles won that we will never catch up. Reason enough for me to think we should bite the bullet and start building a team now.

Nothing about the actual football and all about trophies and being able to gloat and lord it over your rivals. What a horrible plastic fanbase.

I find this whole De Gea, Turtle, Real thing fascinating. The Turtle wants £42M for a guy that wants to leave and is in the last year of his contract. Real says "meh, no thanks, we will just sign him in January to come over next summer on a free." Meanwhile, the Turtle puts his foot down and doesn't play De Gea for a random assortment of stated reasons (not focused, not fit, etc.) So essentially the Rags are holding onto a player that doesn't want to be there and they aren't even playing him while putting a price on him that is far outside of the boundaries.

A friend of mine has a major personality defect (he's a rag) and he told me a few days ago, "I thought LVG would be a better manager than Moyes, but if they would have opened up the bank account for Moyes the way they have for LVG, it probably would have been better and far less drama." This is a guy that was adamant that Moyes was the problem. Now he would trade back if he could. Hilarity at its finest. He says he hates City as a general rule, but the class of Pelligrini makes the team as a whole really hard to hate.
