Post Match Thread - City vs Palace

I think they thought they could be physical and bully us out of the game but we are the most physical team in this league and you cannot bully us. We give as good as we get; see Yaya Nasri and Mangala's tackles. You cannot out muscle or out foul us. We proper dish it out and won't allow teams to get the better of us like that.

I love that about us.

So true. They bullied Chelsea two weeks ago and thought they could do that to us as well. Not a chance with our players

I've often thought why people bite their nails as it just didn't seem normal. I know why now as I Have none left!

Get in the Nacho Man.
My stream went off on 93mins, tell completely froze and wouldn't let me go back to SSB and Five Live wouldn't load up on my phone, was pacing around like an idiot!

A huge win even this early in the season, sort of result that wins titles, away win against a good side without a few of our best starting 11. Very professional you blue bueties xx

Fantastic result abd great to see Nacho score.

We were without 3 of our best in this game and showed at an inform palace, who are hard away in any form, that we can grind a result.

Chelsea are full of players who mard about the pitch when it gets too physical for them.

Positives:
3 Points
Goal for Nacho
Winning a match with all that adversity
Clean sheet #5
KDB looked good
Bony's hold up play was great (people don't appreciate this but compare it to Dzeko & it's a great attribute)
Pellers showing Pardew where to stand

Negatives:
Potential injuries to so many key players

Overall though Palace are a tough team to beat & we looked far better than them even without so many star players - can only be a good sign. This is exactly the type of match we wouldn't have won last season.

That's what I mean. Pardew probably didn't realise we pull our sleeves up and give it out just as much as we take it.

I agree about Nasri, he played well. Linked up the play in the absence of silva. Although I don't agree about Navas, he was horrible, not just the finish which was under 9's embarrassing but he offers nothing. All that being said a fantastic result, in a game I think we'd have lost last year.
You're assessment of navas appears based on an arrogance. We need players that run and stretch the play. Yes he should of scored but hey ho

Huge win. That could be one of thos games late in the season when you think it could be a valuable point but we've gotten all 3.

No Silva, no Sterling, Aguero having to go off and away from home to a side playing well.

And the manner of the win will serve us well going into the CL midweek, on a high.

Great from Iheanacho. He had 3 defenders ahead of him but followed the ball in, great instincts. Seriously though, I missed him coming on, when did it happen?
Like 88:00. He wasn't on the pitch for 2 minutes.

Offers nothing ? Have you seen Navas' contribution for the goal ?

Good win but dont get too carried away, like my rag neighbour reminded me this morning we have a shite defence, a midfield that is too old for the rigours of the premier league and we're fucked if Silva or Aguero get injured. :)

Where are all those pre match and match day doubters now?
WHERE R U?
LET'S BE 'AVIN U!
Don't forget 'Typical City' hasn't left this club just yet and will take even longer to leave our Psychie as a fanbase. Let's just enjoy the win!

What I love about De Bruyne, is that there's no flashyness, pass and move, create space, first time balls, very effective. I also agree regarding Bony's hold up play, its really good but still feel he'll need to be tip top every opportunity as that young lad Kenny is coming, great times to be a City fan!
