It's been discussed on here before about the new premium seats being able to buy away tickets regardless of points . Is this actually correct ?
If you see the criteria listed above it clearly ( to me ) states that each level of seasoncard still needs the required number of points .
Can anyone with a seat in Joes etc please confirm

Fucking pride, I pride myself following city since 89 home and away, fuck knows what you're on about. Don't think I've ever spoken to a match going fan and talked about our income.
Bet you've talked about how much the football has improved and the success we've had on the pitch since the takeover though. It's all because of the increase in income, if you hadn't made the connection. It is all about the money, or as Bill Clinton so succinctly put it all all those years ago "it's the economy, stupid".

Don't give a shit mate, whine all you want. It's true. There's no doubt the club is shitting on its own.

My season ticket was £800 this year by the way. More or less double what it was 7 years ago after an average 10% increase every season.

Our individual league ticket prices are also among the most expensive in the league now as well.

Cheapest ticket you can get for the Bournemouth game is £39, which requires you own a £35 membership. And that's in the family stand when you bring a kid (which doesn't come into the cost). Most tickets for that game are £42-£50. The new corporate lite areas in level 2 will be even more. Our cheapest league game of the season.

The higher profile games are all £60 and up.

So yeah, in spite of exceptions like £300 season tickets, the wider trend is one of shitting on the core support in pursuit of the £. And has been for a while.

As long as people like you try and shout down people like me for trying to point this out, you're complicit in it.

For someone who says he doesn't give a shit what someone else thinks that's one touchy fucking response. Didn't anyone ever disagree with you before?

If your season ticket is £800 (mine isn't) you can save yourself £500 if you want to. And you are watching aguero and silva instead of Richard dunne and georgios samaras. And we have a serious shout at the title for what would be the third time in five years. Not to mention any other trophies. The reason we were a lot less expensive 7 years ago is because the quality of what we were being offered was significantly inferior. You cannot have forgotten how long we went without a trophy because at the swamp they never let us forget it. Look how far we have come since. In what other area could you see an improvement of the sort we have seen in the last 7 years with nothing more than a 10% increase year on year?

you like everyone else have a choice to go to see a higher quality team play at a substantially lower cost than you paid 7 years ago to watch a substantially inferior team. How you can describe that as the core support being shat on defies logic.

Nothing has changed in terms of policy though, has it? Corporate box holders at Maine Rd always had first dibs on away tickets.

150 or 5% ten years ago was the answer from the club, now closer to 50%, massive difference.

But like it or not the reality is that we now have a lot more corporate supporters AND we are far more successful so inevitably there will be a bigger demand. Do you want to go and tell someone paying tens of thousands for a box that they can't have a ticket for the Swamp? It's not pleasant and I sympathise with the fans who've missed out but to maintain the current level of success City have to keep increasing revenues and so there is a need to keep the corporates and sponsors happy.

Still think the main issue is how the hell do the rags get away with allocating only 3000 away tickets from a capacity of 75,000. I managed to get one this morning but I will keep a look out for anyone in the City end with a half and half scarf or a selfie stick.

I think the issue is not box holders, it would seem as though people in Joe's are now considered 'corporate' adding another chunk of fans getting an allocation that didn't last year

Because that's the PL rule,10% for capacities below 30,000 or 3,000 for bigger stadiums.

Poor away day, only got them for the points but they will not mean much in 10 years with this demarcation of regular away fans. I think if they have an allocation for those who pay more it is understandable, say 500 max, but not have 1000 people who only go to one away game per season plus all other hangers on.

Ok.Stand corrected but what a shit rule. Funnily at the midweek match, the season before last at the swamp (when Sergio scored the blinder) there were a lot of empty seats in the top section of one of the home section corners. Perhaps they will soon be able to give us more tickets!

You'd think that giving us the 5,700 or so in the top tier of the East stand would make it easier to manage from a security point of view but I won't hold my breath, they've been short-changing us on derby tickets for years.

Explain bayern Munich then, they have always been successful and have huge amounts of tourists coming to watch them play games, their revenue is one of the best in the world and they spend a fortune on players in recent history and they still don't charge their fans ridiculous amounts. As bayerns director said it they don't need to charge fans high prices as it doesn't increase the revenue that much. City want to kick the old fans out and introduce the new supporter, the fan who hasn't got the shirt, hasn't got the scarf and will pay ridiculous amounts for big games because they've never experienced a derby or title rival match. They want new fans who will talk and mention it on social media to increase the clubs brand, because old existing fans have experienced it all so have nothing to talk about, the more a team is mentioned the more valuable it is to sponsors which is where the true money is made. It's pathetic and it's plague that's truly killing the working class fan in a game which was for the working class.

Bayern Munchen charge us same for kids as adults, even in that pre-season Friendly it was about £30 a kid.

So what you're saying is City can't do a sponsorship deal without offering extra away tickets? Our sponsores are for our home stadium. As I say, good luck to selling tickets when the loyal home fans pick and chose their games. All cup schemes? Yeah right, what's the point, might as well stay at home and watch it on the tv.

What i find weird is that some jcl can easily get a ticket for this match .
And i know one in Bradford who supported Bradford City before he decided he wanted to support the real City .
Although how you can change teams I will never know .
Been told i need 15000 points for this fixture .
So it looks like i won't be going .
