City to be charged for booing Champions League jingle (anthem)

Could sing extremely loudly over it next game? Surely the humourless self-important twats wouldn't issue a fine for that...?

Any other 'organisation' and i'd have been convinced todays date was April 1st - can there be a more hypocritical, pathetic, deplorable and contradictory bunch of wankers in existence? i'd be staggered if there is - its fucking comical.

Nick Harris' response has been predictable. Seems more outraged by freedom of the press in UAE and the fact we're hosting the Chinese President.

I would love to meet the man that made this decision. Or woman. Whichever one.

Either way this will never make a courtroom and only serves to further highlight how they are now falling apart at the foundations.

This could one of the final nails and will hopefully show the rest of the country that we have been isolated by these cunts and used as a fucking guinea pig to trial FFP.

Posting that profit last week was a fucking sickner for them and this is the fallout.

I haven't booed so far but by fuck me, I will be against Monchengladbach

I have no loyalty to you or the CSKA fan. The CSKA fan thought the fine was ridiculous but thought us booing was classless. That is his opinion and as a forum and a fanbase we should be able to respond to that without throwing the fact his club has some racist fans as if he is responsible.

Yes pull out the trolling card. It seems a difference in opinion to you is trolling. Good job we have goit rid of him. People can judge for themselves how offensive his comments are and whether it was worthy of a possible ban
Let me spell this out to you.
1) He is only banned from this particular thread and quite at liberty to post elsewhere in the forum on any other topic.
2) That was done to stop the thread being derailed (& possibly people getting banned) for abuse. If he'd carried on then, in my view, that's what would have happened.
3) I also considered whether he was deliberately winding us up given point (4)
4) This booing all started over the UEFA handling of the CSKA racist chanting charge and punishment.
5) No one has accused him of being racist personally but he supports a club that has an appalling history of racist abuse that was finally punished by UEFA.
6) Because of that, some of our fans spent a few hundred pounds on a trip to a game they couldn't watch, through no fault of their own. They weren't recompensed for that.
7) The same happened to Bayern fans for the same reason.

It's therefore quite unreasonable, in my opinion and that of most other people, for a CSKA fan to criticise our behaviour over this and people were reacting to it.

Simple thing at the next game is instead of booing, all join in during the anthem with a chorus of
''we are not, we are not, we are not allowed to boo, we are not allowed to boo''

Though I expect the order on the night to be given to crank up the volume over the tannoy!

I don't have the slightest problem with him reporting back to UEFA the fact that the anthem was booed. I'm glad he did, it shows the protest made its mark.

The decision however to bring a disciplinary charge - for, as I understand it, the first time ever - brings UEFA into (if this is possible) even greater ridicule than before. I very much doubt he made that decision.

We are lucky in this country to have freedom of speech and expression.

This is a gift to us that many of our family members have died for and this proposed action by UEFA is a disgusting insult to their memory.

Spurs fans on Twatter saying they are gonna boo tonight. Perhaps we should take the opportunity to get something trending. Bayern have shown solidarity with us the past few years against UEFA over other issues as well. If other fans boo then UEFA may have to try and save face and will rethink their pathetic approach

Point taken - I will ammend it to here's a man doing it by the book.
