Probably as much protecting him from Stoke as it is
But he's hardly ever fit. Why is that so difficult to comprehend? I agree with every point you've made but it adds up to precisely fuck all if he's rarely available for selection and even less so for 90 minutes.
Hardly ever ? last season he missed 6 league games and won the golden boot. This season he's had the hamstring and missed a few but this injury a kick on the heel and probably one game missed could happen to anybody anytime. In 4 1/2 seasons he's missed about 42 games so less than 10 a season average. Hardly ever fit, nonsense.

Get another top striker who can do the business while he gets proper healing time.

Getting beyond a joke now. Would you take selling Aguero to Madrid if we had a open door to replace him with someone like Robert Lewandowski.
Yes,and I'm Sergio's biggest fan, just seems to be injured more than he plays these days, every tackle we all hold our breath

Well (and assuming you're talking about the league only), that's marginally over a quarter of all our games, plus there's the additional consideration that it usually takes him 3 or 4 games to get back up to speed again each time afterwards, to be factored in. I love the guy to death, but when you've only got 2 senior strikers on your books, Sergio's absences are becoming a real issue. Still not as bad as Kompany though.......

Bang on...pretty sure there's a few closet rags lurking on this thread...either that or they are fucking clueless cunts

Ok but say he palys 28- 30 league games a season he's still going to score more than almost any replacement that may play 33-35. It's not as if we go on big losing runs when he doesn't play Bony is averageing 1 goal every 2 starts which isn't bad for a back up striker.

Isn't it likely that this is just precautionary and he's being saved for Tuesday? And maybe Yaya too? Not that I agree with it . . . but we do have a shitload of fixtures coming, including a huge one with that morally-superior North London club. Stoke likes to hack and chop. Bony's physical presence might be a better option anyway.
Didn't work out so well last time resting players for the European game. Got mauled by Liverpool at home & then lost in Europe anyway. At least you could claim for that one that had we won at Juve we'd have topped the group; we're now more than likely stuck in 2nd anyway & already qualified making the Europe game far less important than the PL one. If that were the case it would be a horrible decision.

What is it with the amount of bellends on this site who refers to anyone who disagrees with them as clueless cunts or rags.

Maybe I just want what's best for the club and my opinion on that is a fit fucking striker or someone who we don't have to rest in a very important premier league game incase the other team have too many big men who might kick him.

Along with Silva he's been our best player for years, but he's now unreliable in terms of fitness and like others have said even when he's available he usually takes 4 or 5 games to get back to his best. Recently he's not even lasted 4 or 5 games to get himself fully fit.

'A very important Premier League game'? Against Stoke?

'Nearly always injured'? When he's demonstrably not.

You seem compelled to express yourself in using excessive and overstated language, which doesn't help your argument.

Yes a very important premier league game. We drew 0-0 at Villa, 0-0 at United and been thumped 4-1 at Spurs in recent away games. If you don't think it's vital we get back to winning ways and get our form sorted ASAP that's fair enough, but I do. I see tomorrow as far more important than Tuesday night, when even a win probably won't make a difference to where we'll finish in our CL group.

I retract nearly always injured and I'll replace it with very rarely fully fit. Does that sound any better? The point remains that as an much as he's one of the best football players in the world, his injuries ARE a problem for us.

I dont see a lot wrong with what he said tbh,
Theres far worse on the kompany thread wanting him sold and he's less injured than Aguero.

MP is playing safe with Kun , why risk him against the likes of Stoke , players like charlie adam , walters , bardsley , shawcross take great delight in scything down talented players , (although playing Silva is also a big risk , but we need his invention to unlock defences) , quite sure if we were playing a top 4 club tomorrow , then Kun would be starting , but he is too important to our season , to let Stoke's yard dogs have a free for all.

It is a very important game, more important than Tuesday.

Everything's relative and in relative terms tomorrow's game is not 'very important Premier League game'. Arsenal away is very important. The Derby was very important.
You know we're top of the league, right?

It sounds more accurate, if that assists.
