Two faced city fans

This is the real world not some cartoon fairy tale shit, you provoke someone, you are gonna get your gonads kicked in

But they weren't trying to provoke anyone were they? They were celebrating their team scoring in an important match for them. Naive on their part but not worth a kick to the gonads. Unfortunately there are just some bell ends at every ground.

Agree with the op. Sad, it really is. There were plenty of Blues in the Monchenglabach end, my ticket was supposed to be the other side of the glass. I was an official ticket.
The German fans I've come across home and in Germany have all been proper footballs fans, even the rags.

Left the ground in Germany chatting with Glabach fans, told them they'd have a great time in Manchester, told them where to drink in the day, suggested a few places for after the game. Told them they'd be no trouble and plenty of tickets.

315 loads of german fans around us celebrated and joined in with chanting. Not a problem really. They were enjoying their trip and they also took it on the chin when they conceded. Shook hands with a couple at the end and wished them the best for the season. How it should be.

Years ago i couldn't get a tkt for the City end at Southamptons old Dell ground, went in the home end sat down kept my big gob shut, i must just look like a Manc because within 5 mins some twat behind me put a pie straight on my head and his mate threw his pint over me, stewards asked me to leave nicely which i did, big mistake going in a home end your just asking for it

Plenty of City fans in the Sevilla and Gladbach ends this season. As long as your not giving it the big un it shouldn't be a problem. If your willing to travel across Europe to sit in the home end to watch your team and you treat the home fans with respect you should be treated with respect by those home fans.

I'm glad we've established it's your fault then.

Close the thread!

Total respect for them supporting their team and getting seats wherever they could. Even cheering the goals is passable - but constantly standing and chanting when asked by the stewards not to and goading City fans is unacceptable.
Was in the posh seats tonight and there were a couple of well deserved evictions.

They weren't trying to provoke ? You're having a laugh mate. I've been in plenty of home ends as an away fan, but for some strange reason never thought it politic to hurl abuse at the home supporters stood no more than a couple of feet from me. If you want to do that, your choice, but please don't gripe when you get worse back.

Uh huh, unfortunately some just can't think of a good comeback and start scrapping. I call them arseholes.

Lots of away fans in 105 as usual. Personally it doesn't bother me as I've sat in plenty of home ends watching City away. They perhaps should have abided by the convention of maintaining a low profile, but when there are so many of them its inevitable that they'll join in with each other.

It certainly didn't justify the City fans giving the steward dogs abuse because she declined to single handedly evict a couple of hundred away fans.

Got some pictures showing what was going on the South Stand terraces(block 115), and the South Stand concourse at half-time. Will post them tomorrow.

I was in the North Bank when SWP scored that blinder a few years ago. I stood up without helping myself, saw another guy standing up with his head in his hands, put my head in my hands and sat down again, watching you lot go mental at the other end.

I was in rag hospitality, stood up hands wide apart shouting when Dzeko scored after seconds, praying to get dragged out smiling.
You go in the away end, you don't go mental when your team scores.
That's the football culture on this island and we shouldn't beat ourselves up too much about it imo.

I spoke to a steward tonight and he said BMG asked City for 12000 tickets for tonight! Fair play to them, but still don't celebrate in the home end with home fans all around you!

Think they outnumbered us in 211 but that only added to make it a great atmosphere up there
