Arsenal post match thread

I Just read that and all got was Yaya bla bla bla bla Yaya bla bla bla Yaya Yaya bla bla!!Yeah right you love him..
So he's the reason we lost tonight? FFS when he's out injured everyone wants him back the poor fucker can't win. By the way Delph was shit tonight giving the ball away and losing it to many times give a fuck were he was played he was worse than Yaya yet you make excuses for him who do you really love...

Maybe left wing isn't Delph's best position

Energy....energy....energy, where has it gone?
i think this is the problem, the fantastic 4 have been awsome for us but its been relentless for them ; big cup runs ,c/l ,world cups ,acn, fighting on all fronts at home, its taken its toll , the spine of a great team ,is looking worn out , lets hope we can muster enough energy to get something out of this season

This.
I've been critical of us this season but tonight Arse weren't that great and the difference was Mangala.
However I don't share your confidence regarding the rest of the season.

Len , this is city , you know they will put us through the ringer , if we are in touch of the top position with 6 games to go , its ours.

What can you say?

Mangala, awful again poor passing, dreadful marking and the longball where it bounced over him, Sunday league stuff.

Navas, shits himself and tries to pass when he had a reasonably easy shot on goal available.

Yaya, plays for 10 mins, no matter what his stats show he makes Dunny look fast even now.

KDB, a simple pass to Silva and we're 1-0 up instead he trys to do it all himself and they score a minute later (shades of the Stoke game)

Silva & Kun not in the game but very little service and have some brownie points in the bank.

Sterling continues to play on his heels rather that the balls of his feet.

Overall, we perhaps were worth a 3-2 defeat, Arse not anything special and the ref yet again can only see one team and gives them everything. Did us out of about 90 seconds for the rolling around and timewasting but we shouldn't need that to get a result.

Do the players look like they're playing for Pelli/Pep? I guess even with half a season to go the biggest game is now Leicester, if we don't turn up we're fucked and with the emphasis of CL games we'll not catch up.

We haven't won away since Palace (12th Sept) and that was a last minute goal, it's worrying and not Title winning form to say the least

We will not be winning the title this year. Too many of our better players injured and a mixture of other things will see to that.

I think we are looking now at not losing again this season to have any chance and as we stand now, I think I'd have more chance of me crossing the M60 blindfolded and making it to the other side in one piece.

Very disappointed right now. This team has so much talent but for a multitude of reasons it's just not happening ATM

I think we tend to rely on individuals to come up with the individual magic. Sergio, KdB, Silva, Sterling can all pull out the sort of stuff that Walcott did tonight, but the Arse, like other teams, don't rely on individuals. It's a team game and we don't operate as a unit, and haven't done for some time. When yer see a starting eleven grinding out results against good teams then yer know they're pulling together.

I think Walcotts deciding goal was an individual effort , that won them the game , but agree reference the team ,we are desperately short of a leader like zabs or vinny .

What saddened me, in a strange sort of way, was when Navas was through. I actually knew he wouldn't shoot, couldn't quite believe in that split second, I tempted fate, but fuck me a guy on circa £100k per week, an international, playing on the wing for a top side is FUCKING FRIGHTENED of having a shot.

Unbelievable.

Is it Mancini all over again on that cup final day?

The players know Pelligrini us going.

Or is that a very, very , poor excuse by me?

Well their going to have a shock. If Pep comes I reckon that he will be looking at replacing Vinnie, Hart and Ser

We deserved a win never mind a draw.

ONE problem lost us the game, Sagna/Otamendi/Fernandinho not having enough protection on that side of defence. As soon as they had 2 or more players in that area, Sagna was split with no support and we'd lost. Yaya should have been there but was miles away strolling around. Pellers won't replace him because he doesn't trust anyone else to get the ball from the defence and move it forwards. I can't say I disagree with that, we don't have an Alonso or Xavi, but he's a complete liability defensively and has been for a couple of seasons now, and without Kompany it is exposed even more.

Man city didn't deserve to lose over 90 mins, but we had a few clear cut chances and could have got four. Its your defence that shocked me the most I knew mangala was crap but not that crap... No offence meant

No point moaning. On to the next game. We will turn it around

Pellegrini said post match it was important that Aguero got some football, and we did at least fight back even if it was too late.

Baffling how he even had anything in his mind other than scoring
