Everton post-match thread

Correct, lazy cunts...one pass from the cb to midfield takes out 4 or 5 sometimes 6 city players, happens every week. Imagine that under Mancini ? Or any decent manager.
Agree with this, our defenders get dogs abuse, look at their 2nd goal, no body anywhere near attempting to stop the cross, when we don't have the ball YaYa is useless, still should turn this one round, Pep can't get here quick enough.

Normally i would agree, but how long does it continue now? Something like a year?
It wasn't great game of football, Everton schooled us how to play.

Barry looked like Xavi against us.

Yaya runs slower than snails and loses ball every minute.

When all the world can see that something is wrong, Pellers change CB at HT ( if that could change anything) leaving Yaya for whole game so we get outruned and outpleeyd.

And when they are down to 10 man we bring, who? Fucking Fernando, leaving Sterling, Kelechi on the bench, because we have score we should defend.... 2-1 down

You can lose games, it's not a dishonour, but if you lose them in such a manner, EVERY FUCKING TIME, for a year, don't be suprised that people will get frustarted.

From our last 5 away games, we didn't win in how many? 4.... 1 in 5 great result for a team that want to win the league.

Don't fool Yourself, if we win anything this year, playing like that, it's not our tittle won, it means someone else bottled it....

Pellers has to go, right now. We can seriously lose top 4 playing this shit every game...

He changed BEST DEFENCE in the league for 3 years in row into what we have seen today.

No tactic, fantastic substitutions, no energy, no pressing, zero defending, no passion, nor desire...

This what you wanna see from City every week?

You can always say "get behind the team", "we can't win every game" etc. But if City fans start to be scared facing any team in the Prem (and rightly so). Something is wrong...

The positives:
  1. We scored another away goal.
  2. Navas scored a goal at last. So pleased for him.
  3. Our fans were superb.
  4. It's only 2-1 and still winnable.
The negatives:
  1. Our supposed world-class players (Toure, Silva, De Bruyne and Aguero) were utterly wank and without any redeeming features.
  2. Our defence was poor.
  3. Our midfield was non-existent and it's no surprise our goal came the way it did.
  4. When Everton moved the ball we stood aside and allowed them to take it wherever they wanted without any pressure.
  5. There was no sense of us moving as a team and getting compact as a unit when we needed to defend. In contrast, when we moved the ball, the Everton team was compact and well-organised behind the ball.
  6. Too many shit-houses in our midfield who just stand and watch their opponents with the ball, with (at best) a half-hearted attempt to pressure them.
  7. The subs, apart from Navas for Delph. That last one was a fucking disgrace.
There is no sense of any organisation or plan either when we're attacking or defending. It's an absolute shambles and if I was Txiki Begiristain I'd be kicking Pellegrini's arse all round the dressing room then, when I'd finished with the manager, kicking some of those over-paid prima-donnas.

You have to suspect this Pep saga is indeed having an effect and could see us win sod all and even miss out on top 4....it needs to be dealt with and concluded. Pep and all the fuss about him need to fuck off until the end of this season as far as the team and frankly the supporters are concerned.

Cheers Dan. I'm all for opposition fans coming on here, but to come on and rub it in straight after the game. Cheeky **** should be fucked off from the forum, never mind the thread.

Cheeky cunts always end up being the butt of the joke, let him stick around until May and see what happens eh? ;-)

Away form is a full on issue now.

I'm not naive enough to think we will batter every team given that nobody has that right, but there were parts of that game tonight where I thought we looked plain unfit and lacked any shape as a consequence. There is so much focus on attacking football and being easy on the eye, we've forgotten how to work and defend as a unit. In parts the Everton midfield were picking the ball up with 10-15 yards of space and being allowed to turn and run at us. I've never seen us look this poor with the ball, and without it, for a good 12 months.

We are also carrying Silva ATM. Don't care if I'm attacked for that, he isn't fit and looks a shadow of the player he should be and is.

De Bruyne needs to start delivering on the road. I think he's one of the best technical footballers I have ever seen but he doesn't work hard enough on occasion and is frightened of a 50/50.

When him and Silva attack, and Yaya with the lead legs ATM, we are to open and to easy to play through. Unless they start to defend better then one of Silva/De Bruyne will have to start on the bench. I don't think they can play together with the current state of our central midfield

Onward and upward though, it's only half time.

Maybe its me but......
no de bruyne and win first five games
he comes in..scores but we lose to west ham
since then very poor
sevilla away no de bruyne. Amazing performance
the balance is not there
hes a good player. But is it to detriment of the team?
Could it be Rodney marsh part two

Kidd sent Blackburn down 18 months after they had won the league. I think you may be overreacting a touch.

Kidd's an excellent number two and perfectly capable of seeing us through the remaining 18 league games, i'd certainly be lifted at the thought of him taking over until the end of season, rather that than having this dross served up every week

What site did you use?

As i nrecall, aftter the first half we had 33% possesion vs 66% for Everton. I guess we got more possesion then second half, especially when Everton were down to 10. But did we suddently had 66% or more possesion in the 2nd half? Sorry Sir Knob, but i don't see it.

I seen that you posted the the possession stats for the first half that were hugely in favour of Everton,

I was looking at BBC sports (and I know they are a bit shite) but they had it 47/53 in City's favour.

I think that is a fairer reflection. Not that we did fuck all with it.

Yaya clearly is quality but the legs have deserted him, i take no pleasure from slagging him off and I shouldn't have to, it's up to the gaffer to grow a pair and remove him to a Viera playing role, used as and when. It's upto the gaffer to decide the best position for kdb, he hasn't so far, he should of shown some balls and kept denayer but he didn't. He doesn't trust navas but turns to him every time we're in trouble. He doesn't believe in his team at all, we all know yaya has gone, the defence is poor, the forwards are a man short, the midfield hasn't clicked and the expensive signings on the whole are not all that, we know it,he knows it and it shows. Someone to needs to man up at city before this season drifts boringly away.
