Not the best keeper in the league but he's our keeper and to sell him or relegate him to number two would be a bad idea. We are going to go through some big changes this summer, keeping Joe would be a wise idea on a multiple of fronts.

Erratic night !
The most annoying thing is by far the fact he just keeps punching the ball in every single situation no matter if he can catch it. The coaches might tell him to do this but surely use some common sense and catch what you can it takes all the pressure off the team. I counted at least 2/3 times today he surely could have caught the ball instead of punched it.

Frankly I think he is a good keeper but not the sharpest tool, in fact I suspect he is as thick as two short planks.

Hollywood again tonight with a great penalty save but it's about more than that at this level and the rest of his game is not top class.
Crap pass out to Fernando who was terrible BTW but also his push out save for their second. It wasn't full pelt, he got two hands to it so try actually catching the ball instead of just putting it at the players feet.

No I just find it hilarious how far back people are willing to go to fit their anti Joe narrative. Perfect example the penalty. People blame Joe for not catching the ball (which I agree he really should have done) but after that there was still a cross we failed to cut out and then Sagna sticking a leg in, and that **** diving. Do you people jump all over Sagna? No. Do you people jump all over Luiz for diving? No it was all Joe's fault for not catching the ball. Why not go back further? Why not blame the person who originally lost the ball that allowed them their attack in the first place? Because that doesn't fit the narrative does it?
Forget his vital penalty save that had they scored would have completely changed the game in their favour. Forget Fernando a handsomely paid professional footballer being unable to control a 5 yard pass. Forget our player falling asleep and allowing Rabiot a free shot after Joe's save. No that was Joe's fault for somehow not having super glue on his gloves and catching Cavani's shot on goal. It's fucking pathetic.
