Not True. Hart is probably the best one-on-one chance stopper in the world.

Well if the rumours are true and were looking at spending £20m on him you'd think he'd be a starter for that amount

tbf, that's not what he said. He said he hasn't improved in some key areas.

I will agree with you that he is up there on the shot stopping, but surely you must concede there are areas where he significantly needs to improve, which is why (IMO) people are saying he is not currently one of the worlds best. He has age on his side to improve, whether he can or not, only time will tell.
 
I read a post on here which is so true , you don't chase the best manager in the world and then force him to play players who can't play to his system
As good a keeper as Hart is , he struggles with his distribution that is the only reason he will be replaced .
Will the fact that he is English or the team needs money spent elsewhere save him only time will tell.
The original poster said there will be casualties including fans favourites , however we must trust the managers judgement .
Me personally Inthink he survives,saved because he is English .
 
Hart is Goal Keeper not play maker, and he is better at goal keeping than Ter Stegen.

I will be devastated if we spend 20m to replace Hart with Ter Stegen or any other GK.

I have to agree with that. Surely we have/should have other priorities, our goalkeeper should not be one.

What a load of rubbish.

Goalkeepers need to be able to pass a ball, Pep insists on it. If Pep want's a 'keeper, he will get one. 20m is hardly going to cause any problems with our other transfers.

He isn't coming for #2. He is coming to compete for #1. But neither he nor Joe gets any guarantees. May the best man win. At least if I were Joe, that's the only condition under which I'd stay.
 
when we say player like raheem would improve under pep than why cant Hart improve under pep? guy has been the top keeper in premier league in last few years, i would rather buy an english keeper to cover for squad quota than spending 20m on him and would aim to cover much needed position like RB,LB, MF, Striker. Moreover his distribution might be better than hart but is he a better shot stopper? i don't think so

Many times i've thought that Barca must have been kicking themselves for picking TS when looking at goals i'm almost positive Courtois would have prevented.

He isn't any sort of improvement on stopping the ball going into the back of the net. Quite the reverse actuaky

I disagree with the phrase "significantly improve". Improve yes. Significant no. The lack of movement by our team members to get into space to give a player an option is awful - not just from Hart either. Pepe will have the players forming triangles to give the player on the ball options.
Ter Steegen doesn't look that great in the air either. In fact his performance for Barca against Atletico was pretty ropy all round, though one game does not make a player.

That is just one area Joe needs to improve and I agree he has little to aim at. Other and more pressing areas IMO are:

commanding the 6 yard box
Catching
Ball control with his feet.

I don't know whether Ter Stegen is any better than Joe in those aspects, but Joe does have to improve in a lot of areas.
