Hart, on the other hand, regularly saves us 10-15 points every season. As a pure shot stopper, he's near unmatched in the Prem.
I don't get how you come to that conclusion. He's a decent shot stopper but I think that's just a sugar coated version of saying he's shite at everything else.

True but the key to a good manager is turning good players in to great players. Joe hart has already got virtually all of the skills of a world class keeper. It's not too late for him to adapt his style, he's only 28, young for a goalkeeper

He's only 28? What does he do all day, because he hasn't improved his distribution, catching of crosses and consistency in being beaten with regularity and with some ease on his left hand side.
Is he a lazy sod?

Thats 3 keepers in the EPL, Buffon, Neuer and That's without any real scrutiny. In almost every other position everyone is saying get the best in the world, Joe isn't even 1st, or 2nd best in our league and he has shown almost no improvement in some key areas.

I have no idea where you are getting this from. Hart is a great keeper. Granted his distribution is not good enough and I'll also concede he probably doesn't play the pep way but to say he's not even in the top 3 keepers in the league is just not right.

Hart is an excellent keeper and his strengths far outweigh his weaknesses.

When the pressures really on, Joe turns up. Time and time again he has kept us in games all by himself

I'm not sure he can be blamed for the goal on Saturday. There's the old cliche that keeper shouldn't be beaten on their near post but it's a line repeated by people who've never played in net. Sometimes the power and speed of the strike is just too great. No keeper can cover all angles of his goal. His positioning was ok for the strike. He couldn't really been any further left without leaving his right hand side too exposed.

More blame should be attached to Kolarov's half hearted attempt to block the shot.

There will be a new keeper next season giving serious challenge to Joe. He is a great keeper on his day, but sadly still inconsistent.

More blame attached to Kolarov? If you're going down that route then the same could be said for the initial ball over that Zabaleta didn't close down.
When all said and done you want your keeper to be able to anticipate - not be rooted to the spot as a ball whistles by him on his near side. It was poor all round but it's stretching it to attach all the blame to Kolarov - who had a decent game despite the negativity that surrounds him from our fanbase.

I don't think anyone was to blame really. Thought it was a fantastic strike on a ball that broke into a strange area. Just a tap of the hat to Sessegnon. Kolarov was close and he put his leg out for a block. The ball just found the sweet spot away from his leg and the inside of the goal.

I thought Ter Stegen should have saved the Athletico Madrid penalty last night. He went the right way and got a hand to it but was to weak to stop it going in. Hart has done very well with his penalty saves.

If you want to replace Hart, you should do it with somebody that's clearly an improvement. And i'm not sure that TS is such a huge improvement. I know Barca was looking at Ter Steegen and Courtois at one time, but thought Courtois was too expensive... Many times i've thought that Barca must have been kicking themselves for picking TS when looking at goals i'm almost positive Courtois would have prevented.

I think you'll find that Ter Stegen not only saved the penalty but controlled it with his thigh, did a Cruyff turn past two players, pirouetted around another, nutmegged Godin and provided a sublime back heel to set up Barca's winner.

Hart had to use his hands, which I thought was against the rules.

Stegen will be coming as huge competition for joe and not a guaranteed starter? To be fair willy won us the league cup but the forum used to shit it's pants when he was announced on team sheets !! Lol
