The battle for 4th place

What about Arse

Same place they always are, only inverted with the rest of the table. Everton can pat themselves on the back for continually finishing only 2 or 3 places behind/above the dippers and tbh I don't mind the chavs with 'Racist, Cuckolder, ****' on his way out and the eye gouger gone. The rest of them are 'meh', with a soft spot for the Hammers due to a (sadly deceased) mate that was a huge fan.

I don't want Spurs to win because I can't stand the fucking pricks. I'd rather see Millwall win the league. So I want Leicester to win it.
Never minded Leicester always hated Spurs - pretty easy. Also they've looked like they're going to win the league for weeks and in a crazy world where Leicester wins I would suggest they take every ounce of pleasure they can out of it. Could easily do a City and go down next year with an injury or two and a sale or two

Probably the wrong thread but listening to spurs sing your 'fucking shit' to stoke reminded me how much I hate Spurs. Arrogant southern bastards who have won nothing for years yet acting like there the best team in the league. Hope Leicester do it, Spurs think they already have.

i was thinking the exact same thing, fucking arrogant wankers. the only thing worse than being a bad loser is a bad winner!

Oh come on. They sang it to the rags last week and everyone loved it.

Fuck Spurs. Hope they win nothing. Great current team and I like the manager. Hate the club though.
I'll be happy with third.

As a football fan I like watching Spurs, but as a City fan I want Leicester to win it.

Spurs play good expansive attacking football. Leicester are ultra-cynical and have got away with a lot that teams like City would not.

But I believe that if Leicester win it it would be a one-off, but if Spurs win it, they would become an instant challenger in seasons to come.

I don't see why. They instantly slipped back into mediocrity having once qualified for the CL and then doing rather well in it. I don't see why the same wouldn't happen if they won the league.

I don't see arrogance from Spurs at all.. Leicester however, already buying Champions scarf's etc.. they deserve to lose.

I know a few Leicester fans who go to all the games and they're not doing anything through arrogance. They're enjoying the ride and can't quite believe it. They never expected to be where they are but their fans have decided, fuck it, we're not likely to see this again so let's embrace it and buy some scarves and enjoy the ride - sing about winning the league. If we don't win it then who cares, we never expected to. If we do - then unbelievable!

The tone changed a bit with the West Ham game because they're so close and so nervous now being on the brink.
Tottenham have had some sympathy because of English contingent (from me anyway) but my god, meet one of their fans and that soon goes.

I agree with Aguero 93:20, except the Rags would finish 17th so they could stay in the league and we could thrash them each season! Also got a soft spot for West Ham - I think their fans are similar to us lot in that they believe in fate and look for weird patterns to try and explain what might happen. They thought the FA Cup was theirs because of the last season at Upton Park, and Everton in the semi's as per the time they last won it in 1980. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be the case. So they then felt there was a ref agenda against them to ensure they didn't finish top 4!

It's all the sort of conspiracy/fate bollocks we look at.

I've just stuck a quid on City to win the league at 200-1. Leicester to get 2pts from remaining 4 games and end on 75pts; Tottenham to beat WBA, but then get only 3pts from their last 3 games and end up on 74pts and City to win remaining 5 games and end up on 75pts, winning on Goal Difference.

What a load of shit! But it could just happen.

I'm 27, is there something beyond my years which makes you hate Spurs so much? I know there was the cup final but that cant be enough. I don't hate Wigan. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

The 81 Final, the crowd invasion QF, their fans are wankers.

I'm curious about this 'champions' scarves thing...
All I can actually find is some knockoff scarf bloke selling them, plus a young lad wearing one - that's it.
There are other photos inside the stadium of fans wearing them BUT THESE ARE 2014 scarves when they were promoted.

Where's the actual evidence for the fans wearing them this season? (not saying they haven't, just asking if anybody has evidence).

Spurs was my first real experience of football heartbreak, and that's probably the case for many posters on here. It was a great final in '81 (both games) but heartbreaking for City, and things just went downhill thereafter. I think that cemented the dislike of Spurs as it was the last 'decent' chance of success and they snatched it from us.

I can't say they've actually done anything 'bad' for me to really dislike (others may have reasons) - it's purely emotional. It's wearing off rapidly now, but for 25 years I just didn't like them.
