The Eurovision Song Contest is a prime example of why we should leave the EU.

The fact of the matter is we are an island nation, have nothing in common with the rest of Europe and finally they all hate us.

That we don't get any votes in a singing contest is the first good reason I have read in this thread for leaving the eu. Makes a change from not liking polish people

It was in the post but thanks for the link.
It's even more depressing than I thought. Patten has given a vow of silence even after he is no longer employed by Brussels! That has got to be a sinister move to shut people up so that the EU avoids criticism. That would also apply to Mandelson, Kinnock and Blair etc.
The article also makes sense of why channel 4 is so pro EU too. They are also on the gravy train.
And the revelation that it gives money to other EU broadcasters is an attempt to shut criticism down across the continent.
Fuck me what a devious cuntish place Brussels must be.

Thought I had educated you in your theories? You just ignore the facts? If so fair enough

Oops, sorry - caught out not reading your post thoroughly.

Ex commissioners' pensions include a clause that says that they must continue to promote the EU in order to keep on receiving it so yes, Kinnock and Mandelson would lose hundreds of thousands, if not millions were they ever to say anything critical.

Who said they didn't like Polish people? Or did that actually never happen and you made it up (again).

Its a subtle distinction, but I think you'll find its their points that are dismissed as such rather than just the person for being an idiot which seems to be the case with Boris. I actually happen to think Boris is something of a twat, but short of the genocide the EU aims for a federal Europe are not too far from what Napoleon and Hitler had in mind. Admittedly the approach is somewhat different and more consensual.
Agree. The aspiration us the same, the motivation anf the execution are miles apart, millions of miles apart.

A daft thing to say off the cuff without full consideration if the impact it will have.

Still! What Merkel is aiming to achieve is a federal superstate but with more if a shared leadership than Adolf had in mind.

As do the payouts any senior executive or CEO signs, will exist in nearly every civil service , all security , legal etc jobs , it is not unusual in any senior position to have such arrangements it is basic common sense and much of what happens in any organisation would be confidential anyway. Imagine if commissioners left and started revealing commercially sensitive information or information from individual governments etc.

This is just yet another ridiculous beat up that when looked at carefully is basic common sense in place everywhere but is used as a tool to make a hue and cry over nothing

You would have to come up with something snappy though and maybe getting people to sign the document and i dunno maybe calling it the Official Secrets Act. who knows.
Thankfully though only the EU would do that, everyone else can chat anyway about their government without fear of prison or extradition.

What it all boils down to

And not a word of scaremongering in there regarding migrants, population density and land mass.
I've published these figures before but it's worth letting them sink in the next time you are stuck in a never ending traffic jam.

England's population density is 413 people per square kilometre, European countries would have to take in the following numbers of migrants to make them to the same:-

Austria 26.4 million
Denmark 12.4 million
France 162.3 million
Germany 65.6 million
Greece 42.8 million
Italy 64.7 million
Poland 90.5 million
Romania 79.4 million
Spain 162.1 million
Sweden 176.3 million

how did you come to those figures?

Why choose a part of a country to compare to a list of sovereign nations?
Why England not the UK? Would it be to show exaggerated data? If you are going to leave out the empty areas of the UK why not do the same for all the other countries?

It was a line of thought i was thinking. Spain has a lot of area that is uninhabitable unless he wants folks living up mountains and Sweden has areas of lakes, forests etc etc plus all the countries need area for land to grow stuff in.

This is from the Daily Jackboot http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...and-Map-reveals-half-Britain-countryside.html

HOW BRITAIN'S LANDSCAPE IS DIVIDED UP

Arable and horticulture - 25 per cent -
Grassland for pasture, silage or recreation - 25 per cent
Mountains, heaths and bogs - 16 per cent
Semi-natural grasslands - 13 per cent
Coniferous woodland - 6 per cent
Broadleaf woodland - 6 per cent
Urban areas - 6 per cent

Seems there is loads of room.
Also i am sure there are brickies, plumbers, labourers, sparkies etc etc who can build the extra schools, roads, infrastructure etc etc required.
We then have working immigrants paying into the system.
Winner winner, chicken dinner as far as i can see.

Balls, Cable and Osborne sharing any platform is enough to convince you to vote the opposite way lol.

You can still slag off the military when you´ve signed the office secrets act, they aren´t going to take your pension off you for that.

The worrying thing for me there is how 50% of our land is dedicated to agriculture yet we cannot feed ourselves?

However look at the out camp - Their are some awful characters amongst that bunch of spliters, back stabers and blatant oportunists. Anything Gove does and i'm against.
