Good player don't get me wrong but there's other good midfielders out there who haven't had lengthy injuries in the past few years. This lad won't have a pre season and will likely return late September having barely played with a team, could take him til next season before he fits in

The thing we shouldnt forget is that at 19mil this likely wont be the only midfielder we'll buy....I see this as a bonus signing when he comes back fit....For me, this will look an even better signing if we able to bring in a Kroos or Pogba etc.....we need 2 new midfield players so fingers crossed we havent finished in this area....
 
Would be a fantastic signing for a fantastic price haven't really focused on his defensive abilities to much but I presume he would play an alonso type role for us?

Expect their chairman to make some crazy statements tomorrow and some lunitics claim that Germany is great at just about everything and we are shit.

I think we both have the same view for how we want the window to go. If we're right everything else is a bonus.

Not a ferna type, he's like a young Xabi Alonso but much quicker and more athletic. I suspect he will play the deepest for us with ferna and kdb or silva in a midfield 3 much like Bayern would protect Alonso with Vidal and add another creative player.
There are some pretty nice you tube compilations of him showcasing his dribbling and incredible range of passing. I'm excited to see how he responds to the intense pressing we will see next year from Liverpool and Spurs. Could be the key to breaking the press down and getting our team more time and space on the ball.

My biggest concern is that no one else on our squad can play that position like him and an injury would be really difficult to adapt to.
