If you can get the player for a reasonable price (and 20m for Vardy would be given the prices players go for these days) you'd be daft not to.
For example would you rather have Vardy at 20m and he produces 2-3 seasons like this season for us or Sterling at 45m and he produces 5+ seasons (he's one of these long term 'one for the future' buys after all) like this season?
Hwd get more than 10 goals, but why get him? He could be so much more playing for a team that suits his style.He isnt a natural posession player, but he isnt bony. Much cleverer with his movement. Could work very well. Worst case scenario he is like aguero without the skill, getting in behind and getting 10 goal or so.

Michu and Vardy definitely fit into the same category, if you catch my drift ;)If you want examples of why it's a non starter, look at Lambert, Ings, Steve Bull, Guy Whittingham etc. Even Michu and Bony fall into the same category.
They have a good season in a less glamorous club that plays to their strengths and people start talking silly money.
In the grand scheme of things, 20m seems reasonable. Add in a wage of at least 50k a week and he becomes a very expensive squad player with a rapidly diminishing value.
