ginge camel and scouse will still get huge salaries paid.

It so blatant how bad they are. The people who hired them need sacking

Imagine the interview process for BT Sports Pundit...

One question - did you play for either The Rags or the Dippers... if yes to either of these you've got the job!

This is not BT Sport of the BBC but type "Sky Sports Manchester City" into Google & see who's photo pops up. You've got to laugh... or

They are going to go under like setanta, who tried to take on Sky.

BT dwarf Sky.

Setanta had a great business model that was doing well until they gambled on football. Tried to do too much too soon. Their boxing ratings were huge and they were dirst to bring UFC to our screens. Shame it went to shit.

They will learn, hard and fast. Problem for them is Simon Green(iirc) is blind being lead by the blind. Pundits get a pass because of what they have done career wise. In boxing, Paul Smith is one of my favourite pundits, yet was domestic level and fringe European and World. Good not great. Yet the likes Jim Watt who was a world champ is woeful. Just like managers, some of the very best managers came from bang average footballing careers, the top pros rarely do well in management. Yet BT seem to think otherwise. Fucking shambles, top to bottom

BT may dwarf sky, but the barrier to entry is significantly higher than it was in the Setanta days (or ESPN for that matter).
It remains to be seen for how long the BT shareholders will back the punt of cross selling broadband on the back of content to generate a new media empire.
Viewing figures aren't great, they don't publicise the FTA content, which is alienating UEFA and the major sponsors, and there aren't many signs that BT are agile enough to respond to market feedback to make it work in the long term.

Great point about the invisible FTA content - clearly deliberate (surely they would be so amateurish) but its a backfiring ploy isn't it

Just cancelled my subscription. They offered me 1 year half price and no extra charge for the HD subscription (total of £10.99/month), told them to stick it. When asked why I wanted to cancel I told them that it was the amateurish coverage and that I didn't sign up for MUTV or LFCTV which is what it has become. When I complained about the coverage of City, particularly camel gob & the ginger pig, the guy on the phone said McManaman & Hargreaves were ex City and that we were the club shown the most over the last two seasons. I pointed out to him that would be because we had been in the Champions League unlike their two favourites. He gave up in the end and it is now cancelled.

Did pretty much exactly the same yesterday, I never take it out with the telesales on the end of the line as it is only a job but I started off with 100% bill increase in 3 years and finished with the quality of production and presenter line up after that there was no argument. Now for Sky

If they actually bid silly money for the full package and got it, what would happen? Sky would surely be finished by the mass exodus but I would be highly sceptical the masses would sign up to BT. I guess Android box makers would be happy!

This bit is very interesting. Makes it seem like BT have given their call centre staff a script to try and stop us leaving. Why else would a random operative know who's been on the most in the last 2 years? We're making an impact - keep it up blues.

Yep, lost count during the Champions League Final the other night that Fletcher mentioned "Pep's Manchester City"

Contrived bollocks.

Saying both of them 'played' for us breaches the Trades Description Act.

What did they tell them: "Remind them we have 'ex City legends' such as McPointyman and Hargreaves on our panel"...? I don't mind Hargreaves, I don't think he ever bought into the rag culture, born in Canada and he is one of the better commentators who does seem to be more neutral towards us at least(I'll take neutral over the shite they've mostly served up from all corners for us).

It shows that they are trying to come up with reasons to persuade City fans to stay with them. The number of cancellations must have raised some questions somewhere. The fact that Mcmanaman was one of the worst players to stroll about a pitch in a blue shirt is neither here nor there. That they think that having those two on the panel is enough to stop people leaving shows either a) they're fucking stupid or b) they think we're stupid.

When they try and justify their choice of pundits, just ask them if they think Liverpool fans would be happy to listen to graham sharp and kevin sheedy slate their club before and after the game.
This kind of behaviour is reserved for us and us alone.

Fucking exactly. Put like that, i get even more fucking annoyed.

Someone mentioned ferdinand looked like he was auditioning to be the new James bond the other night. If he was, it'd be the shortest Bond film in history.

Camel bond : Do you expect me to talk blofelt?
Blofelt: Beg pardon?
Camel bond: I said, do you expect me to talk?
Blofelt: Oddjob, I can't understand a word this wobblygobbed wanker is saying. Just take him round the back, laser beam his bollocks and shoot the fucker.
