It of course also means the act of union is illegal, the vote for women is illegal and it means the monarchy is illegal too , every Scottish minister since 1689 , In fact every Scottish person senior in the realm was illegal and probably Scottish MPs are illegal.

By the words you have highlighted it means the act of union 14 years later was illegal as it gave Scottish people all Those rights and anyone Scottish was foreign in 1689. I think also it means being a member of NATO is 100% illegal as is being a member of any international body such as the WTO has preeminence .

It is comical that someone has come up with that idea and actually not considered what applying it would mean.

I am not sure if it makes the US illegal or not, probably the US is illegal in England and Wales?

Lord Kilmuir sounds like he was definitely unconstitutional with a name like that - I hope he wasn't as a foreigner trying to have influence.

Just my opinion as dont normally discuss politics as its a bit like City's transfer forum (have to be careful what you say!;)

I think this is the mistake many people are making....."He promised things and yet again he hasnt delivered"......When I watched the live questions on Sky last night it seemed pretty clear that many people are finding it difficult to separate their issues with Cameron/Tories and leaving the EU.....These are 2 completely different issues......This isnt a vote for or against Conservative government. In my mind its clear that the country will be worse off for a couple of years until we find our feet if we leave but what people seem to forget is that Cameron will still be running the country for the next 4 years......So the people that laugh at Cameron and question is ability to run the country will actually be putting more trust/faith in him to lead us during a difficult time if we leave the EU.....Many of our issues in this country are not because we are in the EU....they are because we've had a poorly run government....For everyone voting to leave.......you'll still have Cameron running this country on June 24th but without the trade links, jobs etc the EU offer.....now thats scary!;)

At the moment we have the best of both worlds.....our problems with welfare, pensions, NHS etc have nothing to do with the EU...and everything to do with the tory govenment that the country voted in!.....The world is changing and I want to give our children the best possible chance to success....cutting links with Europe and putting up obstacles is only going to make it more difficult......Even the "outs" cant tell us for sure whats going to happen to the ecomony if we come out, so I dont understand why anyone would risk and take a chance with the ecomony, jobs, industry, etc, etc.....Would we really risk all that because we have to follow the same EU rules as everyone else in Europe.....we already have a "better" set of rules than most of the EU countries and have been able to keep the pound.....Everything I do today is impacted by this govenment...my wage, my home, the tax I pay, etc, etc......the EU have no control over my day to day living....but coming out of europe could effect jobs, could effect my mortgage rates, the services I use in every day life, the cost of living......We all have different opinions but for me its not even close...we should stay in the EU.....I'm not willing to "take a chance" I and my children "might" be better off in a few years time.....some people might be happy to gamble with their futures but the risk, no matter how small or big just isnt worth it......as the saying goes "the grass isnt always greener"
