Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

I don't know where he'll play, or how best he'll fit into the team. But I don't care, I don't need to know we have a manager that might just have a plan.

Disagree with one user that a pacey striker who plays on the shoulder of the last defender should be bought and played behind Aguero and suddenly half a dozen people send you messages like this.

So you're another person that thinks Guardiola will sign him and play him behind Aguero are you?

Or is it just the idea of questioning a theory of signing a player and then playing him in a completely new position that you object to?

You still aren't able to see why?? I've commented twice that it will be an interchangeable role with movement between the four, not rigid but flexible....

It doesn't matter anyway, he's not technically good enough to play the role!

He's not technically good enough to play 10 or in the hole in a guardiola team. He doesn't create goals, he finishes them. He doesn't string passes through, he doesn't thrive from being in the middle and on the ball constantly.

That doesn't mean he's poor technically - I never said he was, I said it was the weak part of his game

Definitely not enough to justify pushing De Bruyne onto the left wing.

Have a fluid front 4, fine, ok that makes complete sense. It's obvious there'll be fluidity to it.

Pretend that having aubameyang is suited to being behind the striker, is a sign that you've never seen him play.

If he comes, and if there's a front 4, he will be on the right, or as striker, not behind the striker.

Mate I didn't make the comment... It was highlighted by the right honourable dom, I on the other hand, as suggested by others, don't believe for one second he'd be chased if he was so lacking in what will be the requisite of a 'Pep' team!!
I get what you are saying mate. If the rumours are true Pep obviously invisions him providing something that's worth that extravagant fee. We don't know what Pep invisions. But based on his time in Germany he's not known to be great technically and what I have seen I would have to agree.

I have to agree. He's certainly no number 10.

Fortunately, his first or second touch is a goal.

As opposed to Bony's which is a tackle.

Who gives a rat's ass?

Personally, I think Pep will convert him as a direct running wide attacker, same as Bale. We will see Sterling then switch to the right-hand side, so he's less dependent on having to stop and come inside and pass the proverbial buck.

Much more direct, a three who can also be slipped in on goal, courtesy of KDB or Silva.

More Real Madrid than Barcelona-esque, which is ironic.

"To get back on topic, where do you see Auba playing?? Personally I can see him in behind aguero on occasion, with sterling and KDB interchangeable, those three can all play wide and as a number 10, will send a few dizzy if it's how I think it will be!!"

My original post, which part of 'on occasion' did you not understand???

those three can all play wide and as a number 10,

can all play wide and as a number 10

Aubameyang can't play as a number 10.

That's why I suggested that he wouldn't play behind Aguero, and he'd play on the right, or if any of the 2 strikers would play behind the other, it would be Aguero, who is more than happy to drop deep and get on the ball, unlike Aubameyang who doesn't play that way at all.

And for having the temerity to point out that massive flaw in your plan, you've spent the last half an hour telling me I'm an idiot, how much more you know about football, why I'm wrong, and should stick to a video game I've never played.

Except anyone who's watched Aubameyang play knows he'll never spend any time at 10, he doesn't have the skillset to do that.

Does anyone actually give a flying flip as too his technical ability? If he does the role requested of him by our manager, who I trust 100%, then it's happy days! Absolutely pointless debate.
Especially as this story seems to be more smoke than fire.

Well something that really intrigued me a week or so back was his Nation team manager (Cousins) saying that he isn't available for Gabon as he has gone to sort out a transfer. Now, someone just doesn't say that without talks being advanced. I think the Auba camp said they went to meet Dortmund but surely the NT manager wouldn't mix the two things up? Seeing the leaks yesterday and those comments I am still on happening side than the not happening one.

Defo don't need to sort your future out when you've already signed a long term deal the season that just past. He and his camp probably went to Dortmund to see about a move.

Seems very attacking tolmie do u think gundogan, kdb and silva in a midfield 3 or do u see another coming in and sterling making way for kdb to push further forward? Also do u think diniho may be converted to a right full back or ball playing center back or will just be used as a high intense presser in midfield? We seem to have so many options at the moment I'm starting to wonder what is going to happen to, delph, nasri, silva, navas
