Just seen The Sunday Times ad about the referendum....I disagree with there support to "Leave" but respect their advert as at least they honest and support the idea that we'll be worse off in the short term if we vote out....

Sunday Times ad says...

"Yes, we must be prepared for difficulties but we must hold our nerve"

Had a leaflet through the door from, what I assume is an unofficial 'remain' group. 'Don't let Farage speak for you....'

He doesn't, I am more than capable of making up my own mind. It just seems like another attempt to label all 'outers' as UKIP supporters - I suppose to have to do something when you are running out of real arguments.

No that's stronger in which is the official remain campaign group, I had it but I have had similar stupid vote leave ones, they go straight in the bin as they are both wank and show the think tanks that suggest the leaflets styles have no clue how to engage with the public. only the official impartial electoral comission one has given a balanced pros n cons on both sides.

At least they have acknowleged this but they are full of shit in reality, the sunday times editor hates the times editor and said his paper would come out opposite to the times declaration which was remain.

I suppose the positive aspect is that it does suggest there is significant editorial freedom as, the Sun, the Times and the Sunday Times all have the same ownership but are not all espousing a single viewpoint.

A gentleman called Christopher McGinty lodged an e-petition on the Parliament website last February 29th. Since the murder of Jo Cox MP, the site signatures ‘have surged’ according to yesterday’s Independent. It was at 20,000 when the Indie published its existence. As of this morning, it’s at 34,000. Clearly, although campaigning in the EU referendum has been ‘suspended’, the work of attaching blame to the murder firmly upon Brexiteers continues unabated.

The Independent – one of the most consistent finger-pointers at a so-called (but non-existent) link between Tommy Mair and the Leave campaign – led with this yesterday:

Further down – a long way further down – the piece mentioned that the chances of the petition being debated before polling day were zero. However, the Indie features this little wheeze….upon which The Slog posted twelve days ago:

https://hat4uk.wordpress.com/2016/0...-been-expecting-gets-a-media-surge-allegedly/

“A woman MP and EU supporter has been murdered.”

Am I the only one seeing a total disconnect in the above association?
Try substituting the word ‘EU’ for ‘Manchester United”. Now how would you react?
Or how about “A woman MP with a penchant for Chinese food has been murdered.”?
Talk about scraping the barrel. This has to be one of the worst media attempts at manipulation I have ever seen!

Would either side except a 49%/51% result? I can't see us leaving on that result

Farage already said he would legally challenge it because of the extention of registration, but as the tosspot isn't even in an offficiall spokesperson for leave he will probably get airtime but not change the result

Could the 'in' campaign also challenge if it is so tight?

And FWIW I have only every said that immigration is a non issue for me and that I believe wholeheartedly in free movement of labour.

I only replied to the post about the Express to play devils advocate.

I don't agree with the stance for voting out on immigration grounds. But then again, I couldn't really.

Ok. Thanks for that.

How would Farage be able to prove which way the voters who registered during the extension voted? He's got no chance on that one, he should look closer to home on the defeat by signing off on stupid posters

Doesn't matter if it comes down to a single vote.
The win either way should stand regardless of the margin

There are strong rumours in Westminster that Bojo would offer Farrage a job in a future Tory Government. Might be BS of course?

Simply can't see Johnson becoming Tory leader after this Tim. Both he and Osborne have fucked their chances, as has anyone who's been too closely associated with one side or other in this campaign. I've said before that Teresa May has played a very good, long game with her seemingly reluctant support of the Remain campaign and refusal to get involved in the rhetoric.

Theresa May has played her cards very well as you've said before. The next Tory Leadesrship battle is going to be a tear up and a half. . Boris is far cleverer than he makes out though (as we know) so he will be a contender!

I appreciate the fact you've got your own kids, fact of the matter is imho, an out vote is stupid. Should have joined the Euro in the first place tbh.

Our Youth unemployment is around 16% mainly because we didn't join the Euro YT. The facts are there for all to see. The EU isn't working and a vote to remain is a vote for no jobs for our kids.
