New away kit revealed

Yee gods, everyones got the right to an opinion but on kits, its just a total utter moanfest. I don't disagree with the general consensus re the home kit but on that thread many were saying keep our colours light blue and white yada yada do what the fuck you want with the change strips - yet despite keeping in some portion to what is a recognisable colour scheme for a Manchester City away kit, its still getting universally slammed. All I can fault with it really is the badge but hey, its just a kit, buy it or don't buy it. I for one arent going to cry myself to sleep about it.
Haha! Why do people think anyone would cry themselves to sleep about it? I just think it's a bit dark and dingy looking. The colours make it look like something you'd been wearing to Glastonbury and ended up having to wipe your arse with.
I'll still buy it for my boy because that's who it's aimed at, kids are into shit looking kits for some reason.

My red and black 1969 cup final shirt gets another season of use.

On both strips the different sleeve/shoulder colours look silly as they do on the England and other Euro country shirts.

There is a finite number of variations you can do on a football shirt and when all clubs now seem to get three strips you are bound to get loads of crap.

It seems that we will have to have a third shirt change whenever we play someone in dark blue, plus West Ham and Burnley.

Being cynical we will rarely play in blue away from home - just to sell silly shirts we would never contemplate buying if it wasn't for the City badge.

The badge looks fucking shit. Other than that it's a nice kit.

I like maroon, it's my favourite City away colour and I'm not bothered about the shirt-shorts-socks colour combo because that only matters on the home kit.

I'm convinced that Nike are competing with themselves to bring out a new away kit each year that is progressively worse than the predecessor.

First there was that black bin-liner. Then there was that Utd-esque Black/Blue one. Then we had the highlighter pen last season. And now this - a combination of colours that you would even see attempted in the Tate Modern. They've even now managed to bodge the home kit up, too.

I don't buy kits, I just wear my old 1982 shirt, so this won't effect me. But, I still can't get my head around how anyone thought these designs were worth even contemplating, let alone manufacturing. Don't they ever focus group these things anymore, or have the marketing/design people at the big MNCs just disappeared too far up their own backsides?!

Home kit: Sky blue shirts, white shorts, blue/white/burgundy socks
Away short: white/sky blue combo, or red/black strips.

Simple!

That training top Zipped up and using those exact colours would be better as our away shirt.

Apart from the yellow badge obviously - that would look dogshit on any variation of colour.

Using Bony to promote the training kit. Someone at City has a sense of humour!

Makes sense to me. At work we give the shitty most menial chores that can't possibly go wrong to the laziest most inept colleagues who we wish would find another job somewhere else...

Saw them as grey too

you'd think the way some are carrying on about it on here that, thats exactly what they'll be doing. They need to get a grip its a shirt, an away shirt, an away shirt in black and red which is the precise colours most on here would identify a MCFC away shirt to have.

Ronaldo had a smart top on when he was pissing about on the sidelines in the euro final that is very similar

If it was black and red you might be onto something.
