Aguero banned for three games (updated)

if you had a hearing, even if you were guilty, you'd still say something or have some kind of argument even if it's just aimed at damage limitation. Just because we're "contesting the charge" doesn't mean that we've got anything clever planned. You might as well put a case forward. Nothing to lose.
It's an extra game ban for a frivolous appeal isn't it,specifically to stop players/clubs appealing for the sake of it?

It's not an appeal. It's a hearing. They haven't decided if he's guilty. All they have done is give us notice that they are going to review the incident and we have opportunity to put forward a case. That's my understanding anyway.

I read somewhere it's about 98% of the charges go through. This was from 4 or 5 years ago.
"Its Independent Regulatory Commission heard 473 cases between December 2010 and December 2011, but only two of them ended in "not guilty" verdicts."
Betfred have paid out on a 4 match ban. ;-)

I'm sure they have done the 3 ref thing hence the charge then gave us time to respond,we are contesting it and it will go to an independent panel tomorrow, anyhow we should know something late tomorrow(sky say tomorrow)

Pretty sure they can't extend it (or reduce it to 1 game), he'll be found guilty, 3 match ban, or not guilty, nothing.

Marvin is right we are contesting the charge, not appealing his guilt, which hasn't been decided yet (well in real life it has, SKY made sure of that on Sunday), but we must have something to contest it with, or we wouldn't bother (or he is injured and will miss the game anyway, so we're just making a fuss for the sake of it).

It would be hilarious if he got off, and then Pep left him on the bench. I'm not worried either way as they've already parked the bus, they're concreting it into position as we speak.

Apparently ex Ref Dermot Gallagher is backing our decision believing Marriner saw the incident sorry if already posted.

No they've charged him, we are contesting the charge. If they had decided, he would already be banned, and we'd be appealing the ban, that's not the case.

Will Tyler,Mills,Or Pete Boyle be assisting the FA making their verdict?
Or will Quinn join in?

Are you sure as he was on Sky sports news Monday morning saying it was a definite red!! Though to be fair to the lad he was caught up in the hysteria and creaming of the pants about kun getting a ban for the derby. If he's changed his mind then fair play to him for being honest.
