Derby post match thread 10/09/2016

Watching Sunday Supplement on Sky this morning put the biggest smile on my face! Wonderful to hear "all" sports writers agree on of we bossed the game yesterday. After many years of listening to so much negative press, the reports and comments this morning were amazing to hear...To hear the words "we were on another level to the rags" makes you very proud to be a blue!!;)

Yer

When was the last time City beat Arsenal?
True, but I bet you're not confident now eh? You, we and the world knows that someone is going to be completely annihilated with a cricket score! Unlikely to be you but I wouldn't get too cocky

Who'd have thought, in recent years, that we could go to the swamp without our spine of Hart, Kompany, Yaya and Aguero and dominate them and win?

Yeah but if they had the ref on their side and we only had 9 men they would have got a point..................

Funny how the foul by Bailly on Ota where he goes into the back of him and gets none of the ball is being completely ignored.

Sunday supplement and goals sunday ran with the bravo penalty as a debatable penalty. Sunday goals saying its a good tackle more or less.

But what I cant get is the belief that they came out stronger for the 2nd half. They had 3 shots on goal and these were in the final minutes of the first half. They didnt have any shots on goal in the 2nd bar the offside goal, but more possession than 1st. And theyre happy with that 2nd half performance. The last time they went this route the manager was unceremonously had his contract cut short.

Personally I thought the sky had more possession than the rags second half the amount of time the ball was launched by clueless in red

I rewatched the game twice this morning, each time with an ever increasing smile, such was the dominance and gulf in class ;-)

Yet the rags in work will tell you otherwise

Great feeling being a blue this morning knowing too well they have seen for themselves how we are developing

God help them when we are the finished article

Absolutely class performance, even better when you consider we gave a debut to the keeper and the mistakes he made were because of a lack of communication with the back four.

There will always be chances for both sides in a derby but we we're very resilient and dealt with the aerial bombardment a lot better than I had expected. How many times over the years have the rags reaped rewards from that tactic against us?

Pogba was invisible where Silva was incredible. Ibra was anonymous for much of the game. How many times in a big game do you see a Mourinho side look devoid of ideas or tactically clueless? They were better second half at closing us down but we we're still the better side, we just gave the ball away a bit too much when under pressure at the end but that's to be expected in this game.

What a win. Buzzing. Nacho showing again he is capable at this level. Sane with some excellent play and a bright talent for the future. Kompany to come back. And the signing i was happiest about this summer - Gungogan. Cannot wait.

The fact these deluded plastics think they came out of the derby game with any credibilIty is astounding , we owned them in the 1st half , sat back in the 2nd half and said "show us what you've got" the answer................... NOTHING ,NOWT , ZILCH , F*CK ALL. The ushited way , don't make me laugh.

I think we have to thank Pullisinho and Shrek for neutralising the rags biggest threat, St Marcus of Trafford
He was the only dangerous player they had (footballing not violence wise) and now the lad is out injured for thee weeks with a sore neck as he spent long periods of the second half watching Shrek hoofing the ball 50 yards into the sky

when was the last time you won the title ?

12 years ago but I dont see why thats relevant to this discussion based around football in the present day.

Im not trying to argue with anyone believe me, I was just making the point that City's real will be against a team with the style and attack like Arsenal's.

Best of luck getting hold of the ball ;-)
