Nolito - 2016/17 performances

Needs to wind the neck in, literally. Surely players that come from other leagues are told this in explicit terms when they join. He has been excellent though, didn't think much of him in the euros but has been a huge player for us (not literally...)
 
Good battler and not a bad player but also not overly quick and a tad short on top class ability. Also a nutcase which is both good and bad. That's what I think of him so far. A bit like a Spanish Craig Bellamy as some have said, although not as quick.

Gives us balance on the left that Sane, Sterling cannot .

I think he'll get better as he adapts.
 
I like him me,seems calm on the ball and not scared to have a dig,which is my only gripe about Silva,should shoot more,should Dave.
 
Like most on here I was underwhelmed when we signed him, but he's been excellent. His temperament is very Bellamyish, but I like him. We are a better when he plays.
 
I like him. Works hard, links well with everyone and score goals. One of the first names on the team sheet for me.

Obviously needs to cut out the very silly head-to-head stuff.

Agreed. But he needs to pack in the petulance. If (when?) It gets highlighted on MOTD, referees will be watching out for him. And he's no use to us sat in the stand.

I concur James, but players like him will never change and if they did there's a good chance they lose their edge. Can you imagine a nice Craig Bellamy? He would have been half the player he was.
It's frustrating, especially when they get sent off and suspended. I suspect it's something we will have to accept.
 
Spanish Bellamy huh? That works. I've always thought of him as Spanish James Milner. With the work rate + strong back muscles (sounds a bit weird).

Same although I have taken to him. Just unsure about his overall ability. Can't go wrong for the money we paid though and I assume he is more of a stop gap while Sane kicks on.
 
I hope he gets the deserved rocket up his arse for his stupid head in face moment. What the fuck was he thinking? It wasn't even a bad foul. Could have been off for that
 
Watching it again gotta say fair play to the West Brom player for not making a meal of it. Some other players would have hit the deck like they'd been shot.

Indeed. Nolito was very fortunate and very fucking stupid for what was a nothing foul too. The bloke hardly touched his face yet he was holding it like he had been punched.
