Pep didn't even give Mangala the chance. He got rid of him and for some strange reason kept Kolarov and Ota. Did the same to Hart. Pep got it all wrong. Mangala was bad with the ball but at least he knew something about DEFENDING.

He was superb in La Liga but has failed to adapt which is why Pep chased Laporte so hard. I'd be surprised if we didn't try and find a replacement in Jan if Pep doesn't trust Tosin

Exactly the word I have used countless times for this fucking joker. He plays for himself with zero regard for his partner or team tactics and formations. He is a YouTube defender whose game would have been more suited to playing on a bog in 1975. That 2nd half from him was one of the worst I have ever witnessed from a top-flight defender. The equaliser was bad enough but the 2nd was schoolboy stuff.

He got bullied by Costa when it counted. Big hardman my testicles. He is a shithouse on top of being a bad defender.
 
Getting worse and worse......sell him asap

Never been an admirer. He simply cant help himself from diving in...........No wonder Pep wanted so many centre halves this summer....fucking awful
 
Thought he played well for the most part but made a couple of significant mistakes. Positive though is that he played better than the whole of the attacking unit put together. Were comfortably 3 or 4 players who were worse than him
 
He doesn't have the football intelligence to play in a Pep team. Far to rash for my liking and follows the ball around like an under 16 player in a local competition.

I know people have been saying Van Dijk. I watched him ever week for Celtic because Denayer was playing, and I'm gobsmacked that we weren't all over him then. He was a steal for Southampton at 12 mill, considering the money we have wasted on a far more limited player like Otamendi.
