    Summer Storms

Impressively loud here in Whalley Range last night. And that's despite me wearing headphones and a few beers.

    In the 60's & 70's (Away followings)

Aside from the Rags and Liverpool, which teams used to bring large away followings to Maine Road? I suspect Leeds might be in this list as well.

Dundee, July 13th - shocking match report (page 36)

Excellent pont. The crowd average last season was 4,738.

Dundee, July 13th - shocking match report (page 36)

I remember when we had a storming pre season (unbeaten I think) including a win at Turf Moor when Gio took the piss and Bradbury grabbed a brace and I thought we were certs for Promotion back to the Premiership. We got relegated to the Third Tier for the first time ever. Valuable lesson learnt...

Have you ever met any really famous Rock/Pop stars?

Rod Stewart after Celtic had won the SFA Cup in 1995. Nice fella for a Cockney Rag. Although I have to confess I was more busy looking at his Mrs. Rick Astley several times as I used to work with his sister. Again another really nice bloke.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont Well yeah really, although that's what is was. Just a question. But as has been pointed out already it would have already been approved months and months before relegation was confirmed, something I didn't think of. Silly really as...

Most Tactically/Financially Astute City Manager Before 2008

Re: Most Tactically/Financially Astute City Manager Before 2 Yeah two great shouts actually. Both inherited massive messes and sorted them out. Bondy splashed a bit on Trevor though didn't he, although I'm sure the proceeds from the cup run the year before may have helped.

Most Tactically/Financially Astute City Manager Before 2008

Re: Most Tactically/Financially Astute City Manager Before 2 Financially astute award must go to Kendall who did some great wheeler dealing at City but also a notable mention to Billy McNeill who got us promoted on peanuts.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont That must hurt seeing those red seats. And why expand when you have just been relegated.

    so this agenda thing.

If Liverpool had won the title the coverage the press would have given it would have been bordering silly. It's what they were collectively 'gagging for'. I 100% agree that it wasn't balanced and/or fair.

Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Ball

Re: Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Loved the football we played under Horton and 100% agree he should have been given at the very least another season. I was so underwhelmed the day I found out we had signed Paul Walsh but he went on to become one of my favourite City...

Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Ball

Re: Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from So you are in agreement then that Kendall was a decent manager based on his results during his time in charge at Maine Road? So why is he mentioned in this thread? Yes he was a judas, yes he got a lot of his old Everton players...

    so this agenda thing.

You seen my post above? There is a genuine agenda against City and that's from someone who works in the industry.

    so this agenda thing.

An agenda exists without a doubt. A well known female journo City fan who certain people will know of who used to work for Five Live has told me this herself. Outside of the fans of London clubs the press has a lot of Manchester United and Liverpool supporters working for it and they will latch...

Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Ball

Re: Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Kendall did a wonderful job at City and that's what made his defection back to Everton all the more painful. I'm glad people are agreeing with me because I find it staggering he is mentioned in this thread? We were sinking without...

Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Ball

Re: Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Nobody is personally calling you stupid mate. But read the thread title again properly. This is a thread about City's most clueless manager aside from Alan Ball? For anyone to suggest it's Howard Kendall is deluded. The guy was a...

Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from Ball

Re: Who was the most clueless City manager ever? Apart from That Everton old boys club kept us up. Without them we would gone down. Don't forget that. For Kendall to be even mentioned in this thread is stupid beyond belief.
