Thank you Joleon Lescott and Gareth Barry

Great thread. I don't think the contribution these lads made will ever be forgotten. All the bad press they received when they joined us was absolutely disgusting, I hope they both felt they had the last laugh. Good luck to both of them for the future.

    TV Series

Yep I did and thought it was excellent. Although hearing Phil Glenister speaking like Gene Hunt without actually being Gene Hunt was rather odd.

    Craig Bellamy appointed Anderlecht coach

Happy retirement and thank you for the contribution you made to our club. I dreaded when you signed for us but you were a fantastic player. The two goals at Old Trafford will always be remembered.

    Khaldoon interview

Fuck me that last part of your post is one of the most unreal things I've read on here ever.

    Niall Quinn

Nice to see the big fella finally get some credit on here because he's been slagged off quite a bit by some who always look deeper into things than is needed. I met the fella after he had left us and we had been relegated at Stoke. He spotted my brothers City shirt and made a bee line straight...

Radio Documentary on the 1999 Play-Off Final

Re: Documentary on the 1999 Play-Off Final Wow I really enjoyed that. Brought back a lot of memories and a great selection of music from the time as well. Loved the story about Ian Bishop coming back on the train afterwards and I for one didn't know Shaun Goater was selected as the next penalty...

Time for Soriano to do the right thing.

To be completely honest after years of public bullshit from Swales, broken promises and half truths from Francis Lee and Colin Barlow, then the petty squabbles and problems with Bernstein, Wardle, Keegan etc tokened then with Garry Cooks 'foot in mouth' antics I find the current policy of the...

    city live 2014

Can't quite believe a world wide rock star with the profile of Noel would ever be asked to do this. The security risk would be too much and the amount of people who would turn up would be ridiculous. Surely people understand that!

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont The point about the longer journey into the new campus was actually mentioned by Edin Dzeko (I think) in the recent documentary that was on ITV3. For him it wasn't a problem as he has an apartment near the city centre after being...

    City are the neutrals' favourites

I have two mates who are cousins and Chelsea Season Ticket Holders. One goes to every game home, away, europe the lot. Spends a fortune and hasn't missed a match for over thirty years. Anyway he text me last night telling me everyone he knows in London who isn't a Liverpool fan wants City to win...

West Ham last game of the season.

Again very unlikely but after one ticket, any part of the ground. Thanks.

    Chappy

This is all a bit sudden isn't it? Just seen the interview with him on City Today and the bloke looks gutted. Has something happened we are unaware of or is it just retirement?

    Martin Demichelis (continued)

Done well hasn't he? certainly made me eat my words. In this last few weeks of the season he's come on leaps and bounds and been a fantastically consistent performer. And as others have pointed out he's a footballing defender who looks to set things moving from the back. Huge credit to him.

    Player thread: Pablo Zabaleta (2014/15)

Re: Pablo Zabaleta Appreciation Thread When all the talk is about how much money City have spent it's easily forgotten that Zabba, Kompany and Joe Hart cost comparative peanuts in todays modern football. Zabba is already an absolute City legend. Like the other two I've mentioned he's embraced...

Dominic Noonan up the big wheel in town!

Purps putting in an appearance. I have just laughed out loud seriously. But he's getting a taste for Manchester now isn't he. I've seen him a few times and my brother saw him the other day as well.

Are we getting more popular at home?

I'm sorry mate but that's a bit precious. How do you know they don't think the same when they see you? I've met many City fans over the years who come from the Midlands area who are as passionate as Manchester based City fans. Hell I even had a Brummie Blue in the que all night next to me for...
